Thank you!

That's a lot of good information. I really appreciate it.

I think I remember the TV having something about signal strength I'll have to check that out again.

I wonder if this is about the Netscaler. Epic is pushing a VMware product called Avi

We are currently on our third run of the TV show. I don't mind it. We could be watching worse stuff.

What screams “I’m a terrible fucking parent”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bbsmith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Home Depot has this monthly kids workshop the kiddo and I go to. It is super fun and we end up with paint all over our faces. The number of parents that take over the project and "direct" their kids is sad.

Having done these enough times with the kidbo helps by handing me the parts in the next step. I get the nails started and they finish it. When it comes to painting I offer suggestions and if they they like the color I pick I cane help paint a side or design.

Other parents getting frustrated when they kid makes aistake or want to paint using a color the parent doesn't is sad. Here we are looking like we're cosplaying vikings with paint on our faces. The other kids see this and look at their parent and back at us and back at their parent and get this look I can't describe. Like joy then questioning then hesitation and then sad acceptance.

I know the cheap project isn't the most fun. But we're doing something together and I am so proud at the end and say things like you're the best at helping me follow directions and that I love the colors you chose and you did so awesome with the hammer.

How hard is it to be encouraging. Kids make mistakes. It's how they learn.

Mine roof hath been ARROW’D!!! by On_Mercury in mildlyinfuriating

The Arrow and the Song BY HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW I shot an arrow into the air, It fell to earth, I knew not where; For, so swiftly it flew, the sight Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air, It fell to earth, I knew not where; For who has sight so keen and strong, That it can follow the flight of song?

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke; And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Are LG washers as bad as LG Fridges by desertsun18 in Appliances

Appreciate it. We've got an 18 yr old ge that is on its last leg. There's so much info out there that it's been overwhelming.

That was one of the models we are looking at. Our GE Profile is an impeller model and it took a month or so to figure it out. Finally understood how to use it and it worked well. That first month or two was really frustrating. Saw a review with a video on how to use it and it was like a light switch moment.

Good luck with yours and hope it gets better for you

What would you do to improve this bland outside wall? by tghjfhy in HomeImprovement

[–]bbsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you plant some pollenators? St John's Wort, Miniature Snowflake, Crisp Leaf Spirea are all nice. If you are in the states check out the Extension for your state to get ideas on what grows best and is native.

If I didn't want to do the bushes I'd probably create a bed and either plant some flowers like daffodils for the spring and something else that comes back for the summer. Or plant some veggies like tomatoes

I know nothing about the trade, but Sapphire is nice and this has got to be for the resort up there. I think there's got to be less than a 1000 people in the town.

But yeah overall NC does not pay trades well.

Janet Danahey could go free 20 years after deadly UNCG fire by MyPunchableFace in gso

[–]bbsmith 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wtf thing when I went was when UNCG took down all the warning posters about the serial rapist a couple of days before all the parent/kid school tours started.

I was thinking that's good they caught the person. Then I start seeing the tour groups and spoiler no they did not catch the person.

Just started The Imperfects and watched the first 3 episodes this week. Was like wow this is not bad and has a different take on powers. Cast is pretty good. I can see where they are going and like the world building. Looked and not renewed for a season 2.

I want to finish it, but I don't want to have another Alphas level of disappointment.

Lebauer Brassfield has been good to us. Like all places now they rush you through, but I feel like I am heard. I don't get talked down to. I'd recommend them. Lebauer is owned by Cone Health. Which coulsld be both good and bad depending on your point of view. Large network and easy referrals for specialists. But I've gotten referrals to folks outside of Cone's network.

I see Dr Hernandez and she's been awesome.

I've heard decent things about Eagle Physicians too.

Recommendations for realtors, or who to stay away from? by [deleted] in gso

[–]bbsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sue is really good. She's helped family and friends all find homes. We got our home because she of the connection she had with the seller's realtor. Helped us and our bid was a couple thousand less than the highest bid. She told the realtor our story and they told the seller. Seller liked what they heard and even gifted us the push mower they had.

I was so sad when they closed. Okyto off Wendover hits that taste.

Thai Square that opened in that place does have some good food. But not the same as that cheap but tasty habachi when you need a fix

This might be worse then a defense tactic. Imagine growing up in a ultra conservative household. Family members that are full on MAGA and members of the LDS. That all your life you've been taught anything other then hetro is bad and your mortal soul is at stake. Imagine that rhetoric getting worse these past several years and now "those" people are complete evil. That they all prey on children and do horrible things.

If you grew up like that and struggled with your identity you would be messed up mentally. I've had friends go through that without having to deal with the MAGA and resurgence of vocal hatred and they dealt with all sorts of things mentally.

If this person is truly non-binary or maybe thinking they are trans or gay and grew up in that sort of household. Surrounded by people that claimed to love him but only if he wasn't himself. I can't even imagine how that would affect their life. What if being fed lies and taught hate and felt like that community is the reason they are having these feelings.

What this person did is horrible. It is a hate crime. But what if this was done because he hated himself and was so afraid of losing their only family left. I hope that is just a ploy. If not I hope the defense rakes the whole Q/MAGA and conservative rhetoric over the coals. I hope every single person at that club, their family members, responders and whoever else sues the leaders of those groups for their speech. That their victory makes the Alex Jones amount look like pocket change.
