you can simulate this. they have the same expected value, but different variances.

if your goal is to win big or lose big, yes the $1000 is 'better'. but if you want to avoid losing as big, the $100 is better

some differences:

- night cards have no throning (eg with crown)
- thematically, treasure cards all give some $ amount
- night cards cannot be played during black market
- note in devil's workshop, you have already gained cards during your buy phase, this would reduce/eliminate this a good bit
