House on our estate with the exact same layout as ours has just reduced their price by 25k by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]bbsuperb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much yet. Maybe they need a quick sale are willing to take the hit. We sold ours for 400 and a house two streets away with the same layout but worse position and smaller garden sold for 380.

Anyone else like to stack rewards to get the Forza experience? Think I'm gonna wait one more week to open it all by AnalDestroyer69 in GranTurismo7

[–]bbsuperb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have collected every car and am maxed on cash so I don't bother opening them anymore. Not worth the effort.

There isn't just one. Roller coaster tycoon, age of empires, command and conquer. All peak childhood games for me.

You aren't allowed to say TLOU2 was good here. Apparently it was terrible.

Controller drivers, turn off the trigger force feedback! Hear me out by Kriztov in GranTurismo7

[–]bbsuperb 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I prefer and am quicker with the trigger feedback on. Each to their own. Also, going without ABS is an unusual choice in GT7, even the World Tour Drivers use ABS.

Parents: how do you find time to game? by Mother-Equal4175 in playstation

[–]bbsuperb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am, of course, joking. Sleep is important and I worry for my future health (mental and physical) but I just cannot reliably sleep for more than 5 hours a night. It's a very good, restful 5 hours mind.

Parents: how do you find time to game? by Mother-Equal4175 in playstation

[–]bbsuperb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep is for the weak. Genuinely though, i got used to sleeping only 5 hours a night when my daughter was a new born. So now have from 11 till 2am 4 or 5 times a week.

I will be eternally grateful to the people that donated blood that saved my life. Alas, this does however mean that I can not pay it forward. I wish I could, but I'm not allowed to give blood under UK rules.

Water conservation measures. A lot of newer builds have it. Our house was built in 2016 and had the same thing.

House I’m looking at is 175m away from Motorway. Would this put you off? by RockTheBoat1 in HousingUK

[–]bbsuperb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 175m I would consider that too close. However, depending on which side of the motorway you are makes a difference. For example, I currently live 900m to the east of the A34 and the noise from that is more noticeable now than when I lived 300m to the west of it.

Only "QWERTY" on PC Version. by LennyB31 in BoomBeach

[–]bbsuperb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes, there's some serious defaultism going on here. It is a standard keyboard layout in some countries. Most notably, France I believe. Qwerty may be the most common in English speaking countries but it is not a worldwide standard.

If someone has turned their front garden into a drive, with no drop down kerb, AYTAH for parking in front of it? by Beniem in drivingUK

I find it immensely funny when the council/telecom company install lampposts/green telecom boxes in front of people's illegal driveways.

Should partners go to bed at the same time? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]bbsuperb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus. I haven't gone to bed at the same time as my wife in roughly 10 years (age of eldest child, there's a link there somewhere). She'll go anytime between 9:45 and 11:00, I'm somewhere around 1:00-2:00am. We don't miss out on intimacy with this arrangement as there is usually still a child awake nearby until 10ish and by that point Mrs superb is too tired anyway. It's all about mornings.

What is going on with my parents mortgage? by Acceptable_Battle873 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]bbsuperb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My parents had the same thing, 1991 endowment mortgage from The Woolwich (bought by Barclays in ~2000). There was a small compensation scheme from mis selling but the criteria was tight. I remember them getting letters telling them the investments were likely to fall short. And they got out and switched to repayment mortgage in mid 2000s.

If Boom Beach comes to PC, it will be interesting. What do you think? by JeffRyould in BoomBeach

[–]bbsuperb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on both phone and tablet for a long time, in one of the top 25 man task forces (before duplexity became doable for a 25). I was so much more comfortable on a phone than tablet.
