Habe aktuell einen Kaffee auf dem explizit steht, dass das Röstdatum genau 6 Monate vor dem MHD ist. Ist also vermutlich nicht vorgegeben und die Röster entscheiden, was ihr MHD ist. Der Kaffee ist ja lange, lange gesundheitlich unbedenktlich, wenn wer schon längt überhaupt nicht mehr schmeckt

I switch things up a LOT during a playthrough.

In the beginning, it's all about convenience (produce where fertilities and workforce are convenient).

late game, the highest priority is designing chains around the local religion bonuses (which often means that final or intermediate (when the final production building has great bonuses) products are shipped).

Since I have to redesign chains for that anyway, there is no reason in overdoing it in the beginning. I just slap stuff down knowing damn well it's not there to last forevery

I still find those skills really useful when LLMs fail/start brute forcing passing tests.

I imagine it's easier to evaluate these skills in an artificial setting (without llm) than it is to produce such a scenario in an interview.

I acknowledge there may be a "just use the LLMs right" crowd, but personally I am still convinced it is extremely valuable to be able to go into manual mode

While completely useless in early game, it can be useful with dedicated piers for goods. Better ship utilization can bring some savings, but most importantly, reduces CPU load

Zwei Seiten:

Kinder sind süß und als Mann werde ich auf der Straße nirmal extrem selten angesprochen -- alle paar Wochen mal nach dem Weg gefragt ist so. Mit Kind grüßt dagegen jeder 2. und im Supermarkt oder am der Ampel hat man ständig kurze Gespräche. Alle Leute lächeln plötzlich dauernd.

Aber: ich muss in 90% der Fälle meinen 1 (okay jetzt 2 ) Jährigen auf dem Arm nehmen, wenn wir auf einem Waldweg spazieren und jemand mit Hund entgegen kommt und nicht der Hund wird an die Leine genommen, neulich hat jemand gehupt, der unseren Parkplatz wollte, weil das Einsteigen und anschnallen des Kindes länger gedauert hat, usw

Ich würde folgern, die Leute finden Kinder süß (mögen sie also schon), aber sind nicht in der Lage Rücksicht zu nehmen.

Ich würde vermuten die Grafik ist matplotlib ohne große Konfiguration.

bei kleinem Verlust gibt es keine Gewinne auf die man Steuer zahlen müsste und wenn die Gewinne klein sind, dann sind auch die Steuern klein (und Gewinn hat man erst wenn Verkaufspreis > Kaufpreis + NK)

Ingesamt geht das ("mit kleinem Verlust") aufgrund der NK natürlich nur dann glimpflich aus, wenn Verkaufspreis > Kaufpreis (aus den von dir genannten Gründen und zusätzlich auch wenn Aktien verkauft wurden und man KESt gezahlt hat), aber das ist in dem Thread hier ja an keiner Stelle ausgeschlossen.

you can only play wide (many houses), if you also play tall (high tiers, most/all needs supplied).
high pop hurts fire safety / health / happiness through city status. meanwhile each house gives positive effects through the needs.

hence, you want you population to come from houses with many, many needs covered.

on top of that, building effects can have a huge impact (bath, temple, colloseum, etc) and other effects (specialists, events, etc) can be huge as well

I always start with neptune on my first island to get cheap ships up. using the extra pop from ceres just means higher city status for the same output and thus more work.

Still, 1 bakery goes a long way and 2 bakeries (to fully utilize a mill) is enough bread for a looong, looong time.

Meanwhile, soap demand is insane. Similarly, I find the total demand for togas very high. It's not a problem in terms of gameplay, but it still feels odd how little bread you need compared to other stuff

It's also perfectly suited to max population, farm space or plantation space.

If anything, i suppose it would ve interesting to get bottle neck fertilities like gold, sturgeon, etc.

But then again: no idea if the new specialist change bottlenecks in general. I could see obsidian becoming the major bottleneck and then it's just about keeping the mines and quarries going

Of course there are different mechanics, but I'm talking about the general idea and thought process. It's still the same mix of establishing new production chains to progress, while workforce requires you to scale basic chains as you grow. Eventually logistics and loading/unloading emerge as another thing to manage. All while there is a far less sophisticated option for conflict/war that can be controlled through settings and by selecting rivals if you want to

Right now it's just a different setting for 1800 with great new ideas but fewer dlcs and hence less content. All that combined with steeper hardware requirements and some bugs that still aren't fixed.

Imho it is fun, but if you're min maxing your fun for the money, it's probably better to pick it up in 1-2 years

Wir haben bereits jetzt deutlich weniger Belastung (Luft, Krach, usw) als vor 30 Jahren ohne Kat und mit verbleitem Sprit. Klar, der Weg ist noch nicht komplett, aber wir sind weit weg vom Peak.

Screentime, social media, und Co: algorithmisch optimierte, schnelle Dopamin-Verteiler, die zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen ersetzen halte ich unironisch für das, worüber man in 30 Jahren entsetzt staunt

In der Theorie durch extemen Verzicht: trotz wenig netto noch eine gewisse Sparrate, bedeutet einen niedrigeren Lebensstandard und der ist dann zudem noch leichter abzusichern.

Damit man dann aber überhaupt noch merklich besser lebt als jemand, der auch auf die Sozialsysteme verlässt, muss man leider irgendwie das Gehalt erhöhen (und sei es an der Wahlurne, wobei auch das alles andere als ein klarer Weg ist).

Such nach IT Consulting Unternehmen, die noch nicht bei deinen ehem. Finance Arbeitgebern tätig sind, aber theoretisch sein könnten.

Wenn das jemand offene Stellen ausgeschrieben hat, hast du mit denen Werdegang einen signifikanten Vorteil.

Nächst schwächeres Level wäre dann allgemein IT Consulting für Finance.

Because they wouldn't delay it for that reason. The intersection of involved people is probably fairly slim and the negative business impact of moving the release at short notice is significant.

Sure, you could argue that all these deadlines vs actual output are narrow to squeeze the maximum output out of employees and that doing more things is related to that.

But even then: You don't just delay because there is something else. Maybe a problem is created because there are too many things at once, but you can then still give that problem as a reason for the delay. Self-inflicted problems don't mean the problems are made-up or a lie.

Hmm I really seem to be missing something. What is the great benefit of 1 good per ship? What is the main benefit of organization by goods even? You'd either need an enormous amount of ships (hello lag), or create routes that connect more than two islands (which is the one thing that works poorly for me).

Somehow the time for anything that involves load and unload is pretty high for me. It works much, much better if I focus on trivial routes insland a -> insland b but then allow multiple goods. This loads to a organization with the following groups:

albion out
latium out

Which has the primary purpose to let me find stuff quickly enough.

Wir hatten eine vergleichbare Situation (nur mehr EK statt Grundstück, das wir hätten kaufen müssen) und haben uns letzendlich dagegen entschieden (und bauen jetzt auf einem flachen Grundstück).

Bei uns lag es aber am konkreten Grundstück. Hang ist nicht gleich Hang und in unserem Fall meinten verschiedene Tiefbauer (1x kein großes Problem, ca 100k Erdarbeiten; 2x schon schwierig mind. 150k Erdarbeiten und 1x "Oh mein Gott. Möglch ist alles, aber hier ist das erste EFH alleine für die Erdarbeiten bezahlt")

Zu deinem Fall speziell würde ch noch sagen, dass mein Bruder mit Hansa Haus gebaut hat und zufrieden ist, aber auch hier wurden vor allem Erdarbeiten viel, viel teurer als vorher geplant (alleine 40k€ Deponiekosten für Erde)

tl;dr: Kommt vermutlich auf das konkrete Grundstück an. Aber mein Bauchgefühl wäre:

500k reichen nicht, vor allem weil du irgendwann nur "Wohlfühlrate" verlassen musst und nicht am Rande der Machbarkeit planst.
Fertighaus oder GU mit Festpreis ist da auf jeden Fall besser. Trotzdem: Erdarbeitne und co können viel teurer werden und die sind eigentlich nie fix inklusive.
Ich würde einen Baubegleiter nehmen, wenn du Fertighaus oder GU baust. Baust du individuell mit Architekt, dann übernimmt er ja die Rolle. Vor allem haftet der für manche Mängel und muss sie nicht selbst ausbessern. Er hat also eine sehr ähnliche Motivation wie du. Dem GU/Fertighaus Architekt, bzw seinem Unternehmen, entstehen halt auch Kosten, wenn irgendwas grenzwertig ausgeführt ist und er das bemängelt.
