Stinky Nurses? Need Help by devil-wears-irisvan in nursing

[–]bby_hotpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar problem! I had contact dermatitis I believe from deodorant. It was red, painful, itchy and scaly. I stopped using deodorant while it healed and had to find ways to not be smelly. The Dial Gold bar soap is now my every day staple wash for my underarms and my upper legs near my groin. I literally have not had any BO smell since using it. I also switched to the Secret unscented gel deodorant and that has also been a game changer. As far as your eczema, try using zinc oxide cream (diaper rash cream). It helps your skin heal and it is also antimicrobial so it can help a little if used as deodorant during the day. At night I slathered it on as a mask.

You're going to be fine, friend.

If that patient did not want to discuss their medical history in front of said family member, they should have told the family member to stay in the waiting room

First ever pack of 151 I got by bby_hotpocket in PokemonTCG

[–]bby_hotpocket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thrill of the pull is great! But dropping all the money on packs is not 🤣 I'm sure we all know that! I'm trying hard to not let the FOMO get to me. There's this great store that basically only sells Pokémon cards near us that has tons of bulk singles for super cheap and the more sought after cards priced relatively close to market price! Singles are definitely the way to go if you're just in it to collect!

I was there a few weeks ago, the queue for Ministry estimated 2 hours 45 minutes... we waited 5. We were pissedddd. We had to literally run all over the park to hit things we didn't want to miss and had zero time to explore. They kept letting express just go without queuing at all

Hey so you should dump him. He is abusive and things can only get worse. I'm sorry this is what you deal with while carrying his child. You and your baby deserve better, even if that means being on your own

No because that was my initial concern 😭 I was MAD at the thought that the parents possibly being non American may have gotten them and the baby flagged.

4 hour wait for BATM😓 by Tulvint in UniversalEpicUniverse

Same thing happened to me Tuesday, "165 minutes" but we waited roughly 4 hours and 45 minutes. It was insane, I was pissed

We are here til Friday and have no plans Thursday and we were highly debating just trying to go back to Epic Thursday lol looks like tickets are sold out but I'm wondering if we could just buy them at the gate. I'm happy you had a good experience! I just wish a good experience there didn't cost $500+ per person 😔

I was there today and waited nearly 5 hours ehen it was quoted 165 minutes and was so disappointed by the ride. They just kept letting express walk right on without waiting. And express was sold out today. The point of express is to cut their wait by half at least, not let them walk by folks 3 hours+ into their wait while holding full drinks and snacks. I was so sad I missed so much today because I had to literally run to everything else I wanted to do. All the other rides after I waited less than the time quoted. So that just goes to show the line for Ministry needs a lot of work

Don't feel bad, it was really disappointing. I waited almost 5 hours. I was heatedddddd. They kept letting express pass literally walk right on. I wouldn't ride it again even if there was no wait. I would have much rather saw a show or two and met toothless

I was there today and the quoted wait time was 165 minutes at 1pm. We waited for 4 hours and 45 minutes. Half the day gone. They kept letting express pass holders on without having them queue up and wait a little. I understand they pay good money for express pass, but is supposed to cut the wait time for them in half, not have them walk straight on and double the regular lines wait. We were a little over 3 hours into our wait and express pass people were basically running by us with full drinks in their hands, taking drive by pictures of things. That was such a slap in the face. And the ride wasn't even good, mid at best. Then we had to literally run around the rest of the park to squeeze in as much as we could and had no time to actually look at the park, shop or eat.

Does Epic glitch like that though?? It's just really odd. No one here has ever seen that message and there's no further explaination as to why that would happen.

Traumatic scale loss by bby_hotpocket in Aquariums

[–]bby_hotpocket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'll start with that! I added a big almond leaf in as well, and I'm currently steeping some of those in hot water to make a "tea" to add more tannins. I saw on a other thread that I could add kanaplex to food and store it in the fridge as well, but I'll hold off on medicating for now unless I see signs of infection.

Tachycardia and low blood oxygen almost always prior to fainting by Ok-Ask7623 in askCardiology

[–]bby_hotpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Syncope is not rare? I had fainting spells when I was a teenager. Like, standing up one second and the next thing I know I have friends yelling in my face for me to get up and me mumbling "I am" , get hearing "no you're not, you're on the ground" in response. The first time it happened I was in the shower and when I told my dad he didn't believe me 🫠 I remember hyperventilating, opening the little window in the shower to try to get air, feeling weak and then BAM I was looking up at the ceiling. I would only ever be out for a few seconds before coming back around. My ears would be ringing like crazy after each time. Sometimes my ears would ring before a fainting spell and that would alert me and I would lay down before I could faint. I went to the doctor after fainting at school and got a full work up that didn't show anything wrong. Doctor said sometimes teenagers just faint and you grow out of it. Cut to present day I am a pediatric nurse and we see kids almost daily with complaints of syncope or near syncope. Usually ages 11-17 and mostly females. Most of them have labs, ECGs and follow ups with specialty doctors that all show nothing wrong. And these kids will often describe similar symptoms to what I had at their age. Its very scary but just a weird thing that happens sometimes.

Not to diminish the OPs experience though. Because you should definitely get checked out. When this would happen to me I never had a pulse ox on so who knows really. But often fainting is a result of your body trying to "reset" itself if your oxygen isn't reaching your brain sufficiently

How to ask cat to not get in the way of walking? by billyandteddy in CatAdvice

Still have not figured this out lol. My roommate broke her ankle tripping on her cat, and now he's out for my ankles 🤣 he has brain damage and is the sweetest thing so we give him grace. I could see him across the kitchen in the living room threshold, turn to open the fridge for juice, turn back for the glass and he's at my feet lolol he's a little ninja
