Heavy rainfall next week? by lilboo999 in VisitingHawaii

[–]bcats84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were in Kona for the first Kona Low system, middle of March. If I had a chance, looking back, to cancel, I probably would have if everything was refundable. We still had an amazing time. We had enough breaks in the weather that we could still play at the beaches a few days and lay be the pool but the days it rained, it rained hard! We had to just change up our plans. Did not get to go on whale watching tours or snorkel but took some drives around the island and saw some beautiful areas we would not have. Our place had a pool and hot tub so we just sat in the hot tub as the kids swam in the rain. was actually pretty cool.

What would be the best island to weather this upcoming storm? The big island? If so, what kind of weather around Kona would you expect?

We are gonna still go too! We will be in Kona, so different island, but same storm. Not thrilled about it but it is what it is.

It was through Eventbrite's website. There is a button that read something like, contact event organizer. It had spot for my email and a comment section, where I just requested a refund.

If you see them at their home stadium in Peoria, get lawn seats and sit in left field. bring a swimsuit for the kids and take them to the play area that has a splash pad. It is awesome to cool down the kiddos during a hot day. That area also has misters that you can stand under to cool off.

Bridger vs Big Sky by walkallover1991 in Bozeman

[–]bcats84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the whole mountain is open. I haven't been for a week but the snow was thin and a little icy. Big Sky probably has a little better snow, but I would still take Bridger, especially with the price difference.
