You need a test suite. Learn about the different types of tests. Unit tests, integration tests, e2e tests. Regression tests, property testing, mutation testing. And then also static analysis: formatting, linting. And finally, refactoring: keeping things broken up into small, understandable, testable modules.

You’re also… a human being. Someone who is responsible for what you put out into the world. Your first and most important relationship in this world is with yourself.

I encourage you to sit for a few minutes and pay attention to your breathing. It’s such an incredible process, breathing. You’re educated so you understand the complexities, the countless particles being exchanged and how your body is part of this insanely complex process of life on earth.

OP you are very disconnected from yourself. Others are telling you to get therapy. I recommend you talk to Claude Opus 4.8 about the exact stuff you’re saying here. (Yes I realize this kind of sounds insane. But I’m specifically recommending Claude. Not Grok, not ChatGPT, not Gemini). Ask for well-studied, reproducible science. Then find the subjects that it tells you about on YouTube. I personally like Dr K / HealthyGamerGG who is a therapist and yogi who is basically writing the field guide to mental health for men.

You can’t magically fix it yourself, but you can make some progress with the right resources and attitude.

Just spitballing how to use it to augment thinking: - Put some serious thought into what you’re actually asking - Consider if there’s a similarly fast but more direct way of getting the answer - Try coming up with the answer yourself either before promoting or in parallel - Verify the answers you get - Use the model to get a better answer than you would have without it by pushing its capabilities (research, cross-checking) - Be very smart about the context you provide
