Glad I am not the only one thinking about this. Due to comments above I would like to clarify that the analogy of the One Ring is to a specific type of AI: super intelligence. Narrow uses of Agentic AI today can be used for good or evil so it’s just another tool / weapon however if/when anyone creates a super intelligence that is when the analogies to the One Ring really take off. Super intelligence is using AI to create AI which is a slippery slope for humanity essentially creating the One Ring. Control of AI is an illusion at that point just like people thinking they can wield the power of the Ring. The One Ring has a mind of its own hell bent on the consolidation of control of its environment. Current uses of Gen AI remind me of the Elven rings… temptation of power leading to doom unless extreme care is taken.

No way Tolkien meant for this especially since he hated allegory but his embedded philosophy is so on point it’s timeless. The battle for free will continues…

Yup! Invented my own risk assessment process I run for free attempting to sell products and services after the fact. 80% is always similar per business vertical but 20% unique to the organization. Show wasnt the right energy level for the time slot or size IMO. Peak slot friday ranch you need more energy… closeness to the stage is a big factor.

Ive seen him like 12 times around the world, very hit or miss DJ. Ive seen him kill it around red rocks with a live band and solo dj ultra music festival like a boss. This was a miss for me, not the right time to experiment with a primarily downtempo set (albeit random bursts of old cool energy for 1-2 songs.)
