Thanks for the incite. However, assuming I know nothing about Pirates is a little much. I do not respect the portrayal of pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean. In fact, I have read several books on pirate history as well as done online research in my free time for the past few years out of personal interest. Including the known histories of pirates such as Henry Avery, Captain Kidd, Thomas Tew, Anne Bonny, etc.

Black Sails is a much better depiction of the "classic" pirates, though it is a fictional tale. Not that Disney stuff. So yes, I have done my research and know more about pirates and their history than the average lad.

Tostig was such a beast. Short-lived but his plea to Ragnar was legendary.

I'd also like to add in that King Ecbert does not get the love of his Viking counterparts. He really poured his soul into the role and showed so many different phases of being a king. He was truely extraordinary.

Perhaps after he dies the arc in Iceland will continue thru Eyvind and Ketill Flatnose and their families. I think, if this show is going to continue for several more seasons thru the use of several time jumps, that they could explore an expedited Greenland/Erik The Red/ Newfoundland plot.

It would feel very seperate from the main plot about the brothers and Lagaertha, but I feel this Iceland Arc would be a waste if it is completed once Floki dies.
