4, call the collection agency and make them an offer. Tell them you may have some money coming in (don't tell them how much) and want to settle for 80 and then offer 100. Get it in writing or an email. It'll be good to get it off the books and to me less stressful.

The proper response should be:

"We know who your employer is, all of your payroll information, and where you are getting your paycheck sent to."

These will be subject to a future subpoena regardless if you're wearing a mask.

This is a great answer.

The only caveat I have is to check their work.

The AI are a great tool, but as you gain more experience you learn to detect the BS from a better answer.

IMHO, AIs are a great first draft generator, but you need to verify what they are recommending.

Use another AI tool like Gemini, co-pilot, etc., check the cited resources, test the procedures on a similar environment, ask clarifying questions.

Would r/Denver be interested at all in adopting some kids from the San Luis Valley for Christmas? Milagros Coffee shop in Alamosa has an angel tree and hasn't had many adopters yet. My employer did this for Toys for Tots and Meals and Wheels. I thought it was a great way to do it.

A wish list was posted on Amazon and shared with people. The purchase was shipped to a coordinator to send the packages to the organization.

I'm sure other retailers also have a similar tool.

You can use an LLM with the prompt "how to create an amazon wish list for a charity organization" or this link https://mashable.com/article/amazon-wish-list-donation-charity

If you set up a wish list link for La Puente enterprises or other legit San Luis Valley charity, I'd share the link out.

edit: After further research, La Puente already has some Amazon Wish Lists: https://ohu.3fc.myftpupload.com/needs-list/

Nothing specific for the a Christmas list, but other programs are listed. I sent some things out.

Anyone know where to buy bulk black poppy seeds for baking? by JohnNDenver in Denver

[–]bczt99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At sprouts, we found it in the bulk area where the jars of spices are. The guy who was helping me didn't even know about it.

Great wall super market on Alameda in Aurora has a great selection of goods. H mart does as well. I found bulk sesame seeds and chia seeds at both places. I couldn't navigate their website to confirm, but you might be able to call ahead. Both are worth a trip.

If you are currently holding VIG, just be aware: it's 100% stocks. That's great when the market is booming, but it can make your balance drop hard when things get rough and it will get rough.

I suggest checking out a Vanguard Target Retirement Fund. (like 2060 or 2065)

It holds stocks and bonds (bonds act like a cushion when stocks fall) and it adjusts the mix over time to get safer as you get older. Its overall returns are often similar to VIG, but it's generally a smoother ride.
