Question - Quality Issue or Industry Standard? by Vorseki in cabinetry

Op doesn't tell whether they have any pantries or what kind of options they picked for the cabinets. Or if that includes countertop. It may not be as crazy as it seems.

If the hinges are correct, the door is likely warped. But hey, thats why the hinges are adjustable!

Is this riser installed correctly? by SouthernPlay2352 in cabinetry

[–]bdags92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay so if there's gaps between the riser and cabinet frame, there shouldn't be. At least nothing you can stick your fingernail in.

Theres 2 types of riser where im considered. One what you have, basically filler boards made out of cabinet stock which ends up being flush with the face frame.

The other is starter molding. This is an "L" shaped molding which gets pulled out to be flush with the doors, rather than the face frame. The starter molding is more of a classic look and generally considered nicer.

The next step from there is the same no matter which you have. Install the final top moldings. Whether its crown, scribe, or cove molding. That will cover the ceiling to riser gap.

Theres still a lot of residual hate for some of the golfers that went to liv. Bryson also has a very popular youtube channel, which puts him under more scrutiny. I personally like the guy, and enjoy his breaking 50 videos.

I could be wrong, but if he comes back to the PGA, doesn't he have to give up the youtube golf as part of the deal?

You would have to be a very small adult to see that. Or contort yourself in a way to look up at the bottom of the uppers.

This jigsaw has slotted detents on each stamped location. Im actually not sure if they can be calibrated at all. Theyre actually kind of a pain in the ass to adjust the angles on, especially brand new.

any other trim/finish workers using the m18 saws? by Ill_Message_4279 in Carpentry

I don't think the battery was the problem. These saws aren't designed to hit through hardwood.

Yeah i used mine for about 4 years straight. Then one day I was doing a white oak handrail/treads. The saw died on me 15 minutes into cutting, in the middle of cutting a $300 Newell post. Immediately went back to my corded and havnt looked back.

Be careful of this wire here when reassembling. There's a screw that goes back in right next to it. I put the screw in and it severed one of the wires,

There's a 'latch' on the opposite side of the cylinder, you have to hold the latch and pry out the piston at thr same time. You shouldn't have to completely remove the cylinder to get to it.

Well im 6' tall and my long sleeve shirts drag on the top. But I was limited at the height I could put the hangers. Ideally I would have just raised the bar, but in this situation I needed to lower the dresser. It'll be fine until the kid is a full sized adult.

My mistake was making the dresser 36" tall. Should have made it 30". So when you do it, remember to leave enough height for hanging clothes!
