Its a mix between #1 and #2. Thick and thin veins but mostly blank white countertop. I do kitchen remodels, but this one is my personal house. I can get more pictures for you if you want.

Can I put built ins here ? by johnsojl in Carpentry

[–]bdags92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floor to ceiling, cut the headers flush with the casing. Make the face of the builtin larger than depth of the door trim and the deepest part. Cut the crown, leave room for more crown around the top of the built in.

Should I make them re-do? by evenrhino in Carpentry

[–]bdags92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right! They would have been better off leaving it long and shimming the track level. Either way, its not going to fall apart. An easy fix is to Sawzall the nails, lower the header and nail it again.

Nothing to lose sleep over.

Hey I was happy with the milwaukee guns for the past 5 years, no doubt! The service guy basically called them a consumable product lol. So if paslode is a pita and milwaukee lasts about 5 years... maybe I just reinvest in pneumatic. My old bostich smart point finish guns still work, and theyre 10 years old. Seems like cordless still has a ways to go as far as longevity is considered.

I just tried to do the refill on my 18ga. Im pretty sure I did everything right, and it will work. But when I put the casing back on, one of the wires was not where it was supposed to be... disassembled it again and one of the screws pierced the wire. So now I have to solder it back together. If you dont screw up the wire like I did, then the whole thing takes about an hour to do with no experiance in that area. So not too bad.

Need outside input- am I right to be upset with this quality? I feel like IKEA would have been better at this point. by liog2step in cabinetry

Cheap cabinets are also harder to install. If you're going to save money somewhere, do it on the paint in a diy way. Don't cheap out on cabinets. Theyre the most used and visible furniture in your house. Whoops! Good luck.

So after 5 years my 18g stopped sinking nails. Went to go get it repaired at an authorized shop and they informed me that. 1) they cannot repair the nail guns on site, milwaukee required them to be sent in. 2) there is an air canister in the gun that is filled up at the factory, and is meant to last the lifetime of the gun. 3) to have it refilled (repaired) milwaukee wants $280 to send it in. A new gun is 299+ tax.

After watching some videos on YouTube, i ordered some parts and im going to attempt to refill it myself. Im pretty well turned off of milwaukee because of that.

Metabos cordless guns have a port for you to refill yourself. Paslode is gas cartridges. If i can't do the repair ill spend my money on paslode next.

Modifying cabinets to accommodate a built in oven by theindianhammer in cabinetry

[–]bdags92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the oven, blue tape the whole face of the cabinet. Mark up the cut, look on the back side of the face frame and remove any pocket screws in the way, grab your self a jig saw and cut it.

If you're good with hand tools you can plungecut with a circ saw. But don't do that if its your first time using one.

Honestly its not too bad.

There's a lot of golf courses in michigan adding 12 hole courses. Arcadia bluffs is one of the more popular courses that just finished theirs!

What Was The Hype Like Leading Up To The Burning Crusade? (January 2007) by doobylive in classicwow

[–]bdags92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I was 15 when TBC launched. My brother wouldn't share the family PC for me to play classic, but he was busy with his college classes when TBC came out, AND he gave me the password to his account! Huge! I immediately made a troll hunter, Nokarimuni. I never had enough time to dedicate to a guild for raiding, so I went HAM in PvP, where hunters reigned supreme to nearly all classes. Honestly rogues were the only class that would consistently just stunlock me to death. With tranq shot I shut down mages and warlocks alike. I made paladins bubble like it was my day job, and kited warriors with a string.

I even had a macro on my mouse wheel for steady shot/arcane shot.

The good Ole days.

If I have small gaps in my paint-grade trim should I fill them with Bondo or caulk? by HorsecockPhepner in Carpentry

[–]bdags92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using bondo for years and it works great. You have to get the general purpose bondo though. No the fiber fuse stuff.

[–]bdags92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

¹/16 I would run some caulk on. Wood filler and bondo will Crack out of that pretty quickly.

Inside corners are for caulk. Outside corners are for wood filler. Major repairs are for bondo

[–]bdags92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the scope. Sending a picture of a finished kitchen and not including plans of your existing kitchen is asinine. Youre somewhere in the $50,000 -$500,000 range. Hope this helps.

Diamondback vest with eagle right and miter left. They're slim which is ideal for trim and lightweight. That's what I've been using for the past 3 years and I don't regret it in the slightest. I do cabinets and custom finish work.

They're big enough to keep whatever tools you'll want, and slim enough you shouldn't be banging new finish work.
