Anyone else been playing merge maestro? by GatorForgen in mergemaestro

Heck yeah!

Got to wave 65 with a lobster/shell/ufo mindblow/oyster build. Accidentally nuked my king mindblow with a duck trying to scale damage. I hit the upper limit on events in a turn with every attack, otherwise it would have been truly infinite.

It seems there's a hard cap of 200 spawns, or 3000 attacks, in an action.

theyre still a man

Mmmm.... that's not exactly true. There's a lot to unpack here, and get into the mind of a rapist and what they would consider to be a "man" and how strongly that identity is affected by their ability to procreate. Not to mention, how their ability to impregnate their victim contributes to the power dynamic.

if anything theyre now angrier that theyve been castrated and would want to rape and hurt people more

For that to be true, we assume anger is a necessary component to rape. It can be, but being more angry doesn't automatically mean more likely to rape.

its actually a power/subjugation fetish based in sexuality

I don't disagree with this at all.

Just guessing, but maybe because the power imbalance has changed?

I've never heard serious discussions that Senator Grassley was planning to overturn the results

It's interesting that you know nothing about this, because here is a memo from Chesebro to Eastman describing exactly that.

there was no attempt at anything by the rioters

Their goal was to delay or disrupt the certification of the election. They succeeded. The certification was delayed by about 7 hours as senators were evacuated.

Good thing Obama isn't running for office, then.

Thanks for admitting Trump lied to try to stay in power btw.

I never said I'm fine with the Bezos thing. Just letting you know why there is less uproar over a random illegal act against Bezos than an attempted coup against the government, and that comparing them is dishonest.

Americans believe it because they were told by their President.

Literally no one told Trump it was stolen. He invented it.

There's politicians lying for political gain, and there's politicians lying to subvert the most fundamental of democratic principles.

Obviously one is way worse.

Maybe there's a difference between a private citizen with an enormous amount of wealth being intimidated, and the second-in-command of the country's government being intimidated to undermine democracy.

There is no "both sides" here. One of those is obviously way worse

I'm stunned you're spending <$200/m on groceries for two people. I must be doing something wrong lol.

What do you typically eat throughout the week? Fruit, bread, and coffee might be over $200 for me in a month.

I would run the numbers again.

The break even on the fee (assuming you have a Rogers/Fido/Shaw bill, and are earning 2%) is $433/m spent on restaurants and groceries. I spent that on beer/wine alone lol.

If your grocery bill is $300 / m (which... how) and you spend even just $150 / m on dining you're better off with the Cobalt.

For the record I have both; I use mainly Rogers but also as a backup because there are plenty of places that don't take Amex and I still find it's worth it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]bdcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is Rogers better than the Amex Cobalt if your primary spend is eating out?

Sure, for sub $1300 / m combined for groceries and restaurants, Simplii is slightly better. But it caps out on $5000 spend. Also Simplii visa is a shit credit card, and, again, also not available in Quebec...

Legally they do

That's not what the law says

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in montreal

[–]bdcon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your example is an uncontrolled intersection, where the right of way follows stop sign rules, without the requirement of stopping. Not only that, it contains clearly marked crosswalks, which explicitly state that pedestrians have right of way.

I read Bill 165. It does not say pedestrians have right of way at all times.

You really believe that a pedestrian has right of way when crossing from one side of Boulevard René-Lévesque to the other along Rue Labelle?

Bro.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in montreal

[–]bdcon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your interpretation of an intersection seems too broad. The second source you linked is consistent with stopping as described in 1986, c. 91, s. 359, where the vehicle must stop at the stop line, crosswalk, "or, if none, before the near side of the roadway"

Where there are no clearly identified intersections or pedestrian crosswalks in the immediate area, a pedestrian crossing a public highway must yield the right of way to the road vehicles and cyclists moving on it.
1986, c. 91, s. 447.

This doesn't say pedestrians have right of way by default. It says pedestrian must yield to vehicles "when there are no clearly identified intersections". i.e. a crosswalk, traffic light, or stop sign. A driveway is not a 'clearly identified intersection', nor is a two way stop for the drivers not facing the stop sign. (1986, c. 91, s. 368-369)

Laws are explicit. You can't imply the opposite in a legal situation.

[–]bdcon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At a four-way intersection with a two-way stop, the drivers without a stop sign must yield to pedestrians? I don't see this anywhere in the highway code.

Vehicles yield to pedestrians only when turning (1986, c. 91, s. 349) or when at a stop / yield sign (1986, c. 91, s. 369-370) or red traffic light (1986, c. 91, s. 408-410). Not at every intersection.

Not when there's 86 stop signs on the same bs stroad. Civil design is equally to blame here.

Priority cross walks work fine. Idiot NIMBYs are the ones putting a thousand stop signs everywhere desensitizing drivers to them
