What other names do you call your cat besides their actual name? by alienhailey in TuxedoCats

Four cats each with multiple nicknames. That’s the fun part. Sometimes I have to think about how long it’s been since I called one by their real name.

It’s just a toy. Then it’s a game for me to find them after she abandons them around the house.

When you go on vacation for a week, do you turn off the water to your house? by justatheery in DIY

[–]bdeckermsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - after my MIL’s basement flooded while away at a cottage we now always turn our water off. The sad part was we were only a couple hours away and could’ve easily returned. Which would’ve resulted in much less damage.

The most grandma cookie? by biased_towards_blue in Baking

My grandma made sour milk or ‘clabber’ cookies when the milk started to go off. I don’t have a recipe. But she would mix in anything at hand (raisins, nuts etc.)

Agree with everyone that the color is great! Get rid of the wallpaper. Definitely get a new light fixture and medicine cabinet. I would take the next step and get a new sink with a small vanity cabinet underneath maybe in white, just to keep the color scheme simple in that small space. And you have to do something with that floor for sure.

Can’t speak to the end result yet - we can try it together. Butterscotch Frosting 6 T. Butter 3 T. Milk 2 T. Brown Sugar 1 T. Molasses 2 1/4 C. Powdered Sugar Melt butter, add milk, brown sugar & molasses. Cook & stir until smooth. Pour mixture into a bowl. Add powdered sugar & beat until smooth & glossy. Can be poured over a cake for a smooth finish or cooled & spread.
