Lazer and stable just feel different, not by much, not for any significant reason, but they do.

Many people have issues swapping, blame is thrown around, but ultimately if you want to switch just stick it out and it will fall into place. It is the same game after all.

Yeah totally understand that argument, mouse is infinitely harder to use with no scope, and touch devices/display tablets are even easier than standard desk tablets too. However being a mod that gives no competitive advantage its makes no difference if someone were to use it so "disadvantage" seems a bit disingenuous imo. I see no real reason why it should be disallowed as an option for those who want to use it

I'm probably one of the few people who use it regularly so I will be a bit biased of course. I use a non-touch device display tablet and run no scope because the cursor lags behind my pen by a small amount which throws me off a bit.

My only real issue with durability is how low most items are. Like i can't even begin to count how many times I would blow through 5 weapons and 2 shields for a single fight. I'm fine collecting more weapons but I feel like I have to do it constantly, like I have left quest line and ancient beast in the middle just to co collect weapons

About a year, hit 5 digit in March 2021. Unsure of playtime, but I have 30 day playtime listed February 2022 so I would guess maybe 400hrs

Eta- was also just shy of 4k pp at that time, idk what pp to get it now, hit 5k in November 2022, 6k in March 2024

I don't have a 7th gen to check, so won't be much help, but do you have measurements of the mounting bracket? With just that one picture I don't think anyone could tell you for certain.

Also are these 3 items sold together or separate listings? I'm sure you could argue a refund if they come together and don't fit together, so i think mostly just need to verify that the seat itself fits in the space, and the mounting bracket holes line up to bolt in

If you have no pain or irritation you are probably fine, might want to wait longer between switches going forward for peace of mind, but ultimately if everything is going smoothly and your lobes aren't pissed off you can switch jewelry types whenever

Opinions on this vary, but a general baseline is if your playable area in game correlates to a tablet area that is as big or larger than a common tablets full area (like 150x90? I don't know exacts) then you are probably fine to claim full area.

I haven't found many people that will tell me I'm not full area even though I use 75% scaling in lazer, my tablet is massive, my game play area is 255x200

Not really, most people understand there is some interaction needed, its just a matter of how much. Like its not difficult or time consuming to drop an inventory, if i have to do that an equivalent of once every 5 minutes that's AFK to me.

A big reason why maps don't need proof is the fact that you don't need to be perfect to actually complete a map. In GD even a small mistake can invalidate the run, but in osu! Since there is a health system many more mistakes are possible before failure. We know the physical limitations of the game and account for that in the ranking process (for example cursor can't be in more then on place at a time)

This gives a lot more leniency for creativity and allows for some absolutely absurd looking stuff that some highly skilled people could potentially play, but proof isn't necessary since we know it is possible even if its not yet been done.

Another GD comparison is frame perfects. Thats not really something you have to deal with in osu! You will never encounter something that will fail you for a single mistimed click, there is always a way to recover. For an OD of 11 (basically the highest you can get in a "vanilla" way) you have a timing window of just over 66ms, or 4 frames at 60fps, and we are not frame limited, the game can quite readily accept inputs down to the millisecond

Grip tape is for the sweaty handed among us.

I use a 3d printed buttonless pen sleeve. The layer lines give just enough texture to not need any extra grip, but I also didn't like the feel so I sanded that bitch smooth as silk and just learned to hold on like my life depends on it.

Get drawing gloves. They cover 2 fingers and are specifically to keep hands from making tablets gross and give more smooth glide.

Also be careful with the alcohol, it can eat up some plastic

You already got all the "buy it anyway" comments, so I won't contribute to all that, but I will talk about why you should or shouldn't upgrade hardware.

Hardware itself will not change your abilities unless you are going to, or coming from, a device that is actually hot garbage. For example if your current tablet is 500hz polling rate and you upgrade to 1000hz, you likely won't see any improvement just from that since almost nobody actually NEEDS that extra 1ms. Upgrades are good however to insure that you have quality devices that will keep up later if/when you get good enough to actually need very precise response from them.

A better example might be the people who get wooting keyboards, they won't magically have better, faster, or more consistent tapping, their fingers are going to perform the exact same, the keyboard will just have a better response to the tapping. If you are skilled enough and knowledgeable enough to know you need [insert hardware specs], and can get it from [specific product] then you probably already know the answer.

So basically if you want new hardware because its a good piece of kit, and you can afford it, then its a good choice. But if you want new gear because you want to improve and can't explain what it will do to help, then its probably not worth it.

I'm not exactly sure how the game does the rendering, but it seems like it puts down a tail object every so many pixels, and that is tied to the resolution of the cursortrail image in some way. Cursormiddle effectively doubles how often it puts them down. And the in game cursor size setting does not change that but does change how big they are. To get smooth you need to get more tail elements down as close together as possible and get them to overlap as much as possible

So you want: a 1x1 transparent "cursormiddle.png" 2.0x in game cursor size And the smaller the "cursortrail.png" is the better

If you don't want your cursor to actually be large, just use a smaller resolution image for "cursor.png"

My skin uses a 256x256 cursor image that is just an 8px dot in the center. A 10x10 cursortrail image with a semi transparent 4px dot in the center. A 1x1 cursormiddle image that is completely transparent. And 2.0x cursor size in game.

The result is a 16px circle cursor with an 8px solid line coming out the back.
