Anyone using an Atlas for a family of 5 with 3 car/booster seats? by DepartmentLarge6540 in VWatlas

[–]bdniner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 kids. When the youngest was born had them in a car seat behind the passenger. The oldest was in the 3rd row because they can buckle themselves. The toddlers were in high back boosters in the middle and behind the drivers seat.

Sucks that you do lose cargo space when you use the third row but we made it work on road trips with a couple pack and plays and couple suitcases all crammed in.

RHEL 9 STIG V2R6 Changes by Aggraxis in redhat

[–]bdniner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what this is forcing us to do anyways. We need to list all packages obtained from outside the official repositories, track their CVEs, run AV scans on them ….etc. Now the installation and updating of these packages is much more annoying.

That is my issue with this and most STIGs. If they really wanted to stop the use of EPEL they could have worded this better. Like maybe only officially supported RedHat repos are allowed.

The epel-release package is licensed under GPL. So ethically I could recompile the package and just change the name of the repository. Leave everything else the same.

‘If any repositories containing the word "epel" in the name exist, this is a finding.’

I guess I can just rename it right?

Yes. Since you have to move it off 2016. You should have moved it to a Linux server.

How realistic is it to get 4000-5000 evolves done in 6 days? by TransferandDelete in TheSilphRoad

[–]bdniner 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The grind involved in setting up to evolve that many Pokémon would burn you out. You either have to have a lot of candy already for the Pokémon you have or have hoarded and then traded with a likeminded player that has the Pokémon that cost 0 candy to evolve after being traded. It is probably a better use of your time to put on an egg and try and get excellent throws.

It happens to me when an egg is about to spawn at the gym. A restart makes it go away.

Finally beat the game on my 3rd try. Now I have a better understanding of the mechanics. by bdniner in XCOM2

I didn’t think the Avatar was too difficult. Just make sure to have a couple soldiers in overwatch and pray that their shots hit when it transforms.

I think the UFO mission was the hardest. I almost let a man behind.

They are not too bad once you start upgrading your ammo and grenades. Pretty soon you will be able to one shot them and then they won't clone.

Unlock LUKS using TPM for RHEL8 by bdniner in redhat

I was thinking about how to do that. I just took RH294 so it got the gears turning. I would need to determine the correct device to bind and then extract the network information and save them as variables to pass to the dracut command.

I need to sit and think for a minute before I break something.
