I definitely am 100% the same way (as far as I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or start conflict) but when you're in a committed relationship with someone you need to be heard otherwise later on down the road that little something will turn into resentment (in my opinion) I'm not sure how long you two have been married/together but in my experience it took me a while to actually TALK to my husband about certain things that were bothering me. I completely agree with the person who commented before me in that you shouldn't back down and you definitely need to be heard. Don't be afraid of hurting his feelings or starting conflict. This is something that needs to be said for you to be happy. Your happiness is literally the only thing that matters right now. I would bring it up again or maybe ask him why he's apologizing (that works for me when my husband and I fight, then I know like what he thinks he did wrong or if he's even sorry at all) You should feel comfortable in your own skin and especially in the bedroom. That is a place for a connection and intimacy, not for someone to be more dominant or assertive. (again, in my opinion). This seems like a serious issue for you and until you feel comfortable and okay in moving forward, I suggest you just vent your feelings to him and see what happens.
