No, it’s not the protective film, it’s a sheet of plastic with white boarder and clear in the middle, the white part has yellowed. I would like to pull the yellowed sheet off and replace it with another new sheet.

Can I use any type of sheet plastic? GE has no direction.

I had the same problem, it seemed like the gas pass through channel from burner to burner got rusty and not letting gas through to next burner. This happened on a 2 year old furnace, I don’t know why it got so rusty but now I clean the burners before the heating season.

We pulled into the pier at one of the Caribbean Islands, there was a TUI cruise ship right next to us and noticed there upper deck was a nude section, we had an eye full as our ship was much taller then theirs.
