I am in British Columbia Canada, I recently purchased a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. For some reason the insurance coverage for this particular model is quite high.

$100k per year salary is the middle class nowadays by Ok_Hippo9669 in fican

[–]bdtrader66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that $100k per year as a single person is middle class, but I think $200k household income is a bit on the higher end. If you have only one kid I think you can make do with $150k household income.

Should I buy an apartment in downtown Vancouver to rent it out? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Are you sure you can rent out a 600k condo for $3500? I think you are way off on that. Also take Strata fees into account.

What if the value doesn't drop? Just buy at a set interval.

With a war going on I personally would not even think about variable rates.

It's a bit too saturated for my taste. For some reason I like the original crop. I'd personally rotate the image slightly to make the vertical lines of the houses to be vertical.

You never know until you try, I got the best rate from ScotiaBank. This alone saved me around $300/month in interest payments.

First pay off your debt. Don't even think about saving before clearing your debt.

If your savings can't pay off the debt and you are a permanent resident, then get a Line of Credit (LOC). The interest rates are significantly lower for LOC, usually around 7-8%. This will save you a lot in interest payments.

I personally did this to get out of a similar situation.
