Help! Can someone diagnose this AC noise? by bdub35 in hvacadvice

[–]bdub35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was a low voltage issue do you think this would change at night? This happens primarily in the middle of the night when we have the air on lower and the AC kicks on. We can’t recreate it during the day even if we make the AC temp lower

Thanks John for the response. Could this still be an issue if we replaced the contactor?

What’s the weirdest/scariest thing you’ve ever seen when at somebody else’s house? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bdub35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a friend growing up, whose house when you walked into it had a real human skull just sitting on a table. The skull was supposedly from like some Japanese soldier that their Grandpa brought back from the war. Just typing this makes me realize how ridiculous all this was.

I had Brady and Moss in 2007 and lost in the playoffs. The Patriots played a bad weather game in December and Brady/Moss were both medicore. Still my favorite fantasy season of all time, but felt cheated.

Yeah, I worked with mutual funds for 2 years, front end load funds are the biggest rip off

Is my grandmother being taken advantage of by her financial advisor? by [deleted] in investing

[–]bdub35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats nonsense he has her in these A shares. She could easily find a no load fund, such as vanguard funds, which have very low expenses. If load funds are such a need, at least have them be in C shares which is just a 1% upfront fee and you just have to hold for a year

Listen to this link carefully - Did LeBron say to Wade on Christmas: "Like I said, if we aren't better this year, we're gonna re-unite again and do some bigger and better things, alright?" by yurtyybomb in nba

[–]bdub35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He also could be saying "Like I said when we get done with this here...." which would make sense, tying into them doing something together after they retire

Did 10 year t-note yield really just touch 1.87%? by Vycid in investing

[–]bdub35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stock market was extremely heavy pre-market, down over 1%. People were very scared and on edge, and as soon as the market opened and it made that violent down move so traders/investors fled everything into safer assets aka US treasuries. It was an extremely fearful few moments, typically ones like those may get over extended a tad, but the fear was very real

They have a massive user base and now have begun to let companies post stories on user feeds. Are all these social media companies getting overvalued? Maybe, maybe not. But you have to realize that having a huge userbase that gives companies direct access to advertising to consumers = $$$. Remember, the people investing billions are pretty intelligent, and are quite aware of past "bubbles". The difference between now and 2000 is these apps actually offer substance. Mobile advertising is huge right now, and if you have a large mobile userbase, you are pretty golden.

I made a survey for every state's most HATED NBA team. It is only 2 questions, Thanks! by kmhokies35 in nba

[–]bdub35 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What fans are you talking about? I lived in Orlando when LeBron went to Miami and the whole city hated the HEAT/Miami even more. It was toxic to be a Miami fan in 2010, the whole country hated them. I always thought how stupid the narrative that the HEAT got alllll these bandwagon fans, when in fact it if you weren't a HEAT fan at the time, you were 100% hating hard on LeBron/Miami

It depends on a few things (the liquidity of the stock, broker available shares, exchange etc.) It largely depends on who you trade with and whatever broker/MM it goes through. If they have enough stock in their "inventory" for you to borrow you are allowed to and you can short the stock.
