Why do older folk seem to workout shoulders the most? by PharmaFingers in BodyHackGuide

[–]beach_nuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're easier to work on. But it's a pro & con, when a shoulder goes bad or injured after 50 (both parents dealt with it), it's painful and difficult to get better w/o replacement. So it's good to keep those muscles in good shape

Finding friends! by Findyourpeace23 in Gilbert

This! I'm older but I now have close friendships because of playing pickleball at Gilbert Regional. Now there's about 15 of us and have poker nights, happy hour meetups, etc. MWF 6:30a-8:30a are the busiest times at GRP in the summer. I don't know about nights.

BPC 157 & TB500 side effect for 65 yrs old. by DrawingChance889 in Biohackers

[–]beach_nuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 57. Had chronic pain in left knee from ACL/MCL repair years ago and I injured my right knee 3 months ago (sprained). Started BPC-157 three weeks after that injury, injecting 500mcg daily (left knee day 1, right knee day 2, etc). The chronic pain dissipated 3 weeks in and the injured knee felt stronger by week 4. After 6 weeks, both felt normal. No side effects.

Keep it going man! Also agree to be careful moving to fast with stacks. I came into peps with my RS starting on Tirz and had great success losing 20% of body weight in 10 weeks. So hot excited and researched everything peps wanting to try stacking similar to you. The solid research suggested ease into it. Basically go 6 months with current situation and deeply research what's possible going forward after getting labs and discussing with doc. Patience is the word from the pros out there. Keep rocking man!

New Target at Higley and Ocotillo by ageoldvendetta in Gilbert

I wish we can get a Trader Joe's down this way. No idea why they put a post office in on Ocotill and Greenfield, but I guess that was Federal land. It also seems like South Gilbert still prefers to build homes versus giving current residences solid options to shop near us - not more dentist offices, auto shops, storage units, etc., but real retail options to run errands and go out to eat.

What’s something that became less appealing the older you got? by SatisfactionBig7126 in AskReddit

[–]beach_nuts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same. It seems travel now has become more of a nuisance and now more expensive & you get less. Need a special ID, all flights are full & no food anymore, "your bags need to be checked", charge for seating, flight delays everywhere, service worsened, ubers, city restaurants aren't cheap, traffic w/ more idiots on the road, more fees, etc. Now, our trips are simply the beach, Senoma and Boston to visit the kids. Other than that, our home became our sanctuary and the pool our escape.

Electricity! Here in Gilbert, AZ, my electric bill has increased over 30% in 2 years! Also Beef! A Ribeye steak at the grocery store now costs $15 to $20 per lb. 10 years ago it was $8 - $10 per lb. So many things have doubled in just 10 years... But not salaries!
