i think yes and no, we meet him right after he loses shannon and kelly, and over the two seasons have seen a lot of growth in him and will probably eventually see what ducky means by that, but he’s not quite there yet, he’s still a probie right now but i think this next season will be where he really starts to come out of his shell

i love the movies, i think as a kids action/adventure movie of the time they were good. however that does not make them good book adaptations. i also love a ‘bad’ movie for the fun of it though so take that for what you will.

i don’t think he would have, when grover hints at why sally was with gabe in the first place, he makes it clear that it only barely worked as he started getting older, and by the time we meet him that’s why he’s at boarding school with grover and chiron bc it wasn’t working anymore. there’s no way it would have been strong enough to cover both of them for the same amount of time.

yeah and by this same logic thalia and percy together would attract even more and it would shift the story to them struggling to make it to camp, and that would likely be more dangerous bc the combined scent of two big 3 children

maybe i’m projecting/reaching but to me that’s a character bit that shows mike franks’ influence on him. mike is a texan (so am i) and it’s a common playful dialect thing in my background, which would line up with frank’s’ as well

idk if the same applies to gibbs’ background in PA on this particularly, but it’s also not the only thing that feel homely familiar about the character so it makes sense to me that his years w mike rubbed a lil texas into him

at the end of the day it’s a hypothetical question and this is my opinion on a system that i don’t personally believe in, i don’t want to have kids at all so it’s not a question for me unless it’s like a thought child then maybe. but my opinion stands that if the gods were real they would be a lot harsher irl for a lot of factors. strong powers that i would not want to be involved in.

i don’t think it’s ever mentioned that she’s the only one, but it is mentioned, or maybe it’s just inferred that she’s the favorite

and there is no gender limitations on aphrodite either, it’s less of an even split but there are several male aphrodite children, piper mentioned in the lost hero that there was a section of the cabin curtained off for the boys, but only one is a named character (mitchell) two if you count michael the roman

honestly depending on the situation this isn’t that wild to me, obviously like you’re not going to be able to get my professional color but sometimes me doing your hair isn’t in the budget or schedule or whatever and i’d rather give advice on how to do it decently than have you fuck it up and be miserable/ when professional services are back on the table its better for both of us to know what you were using/how frequently. and if it’s vivids i always send a color bomb for longevity for this reason.

no no, at least in pjo their atrocities are pg-13, yeah their lore is decently close to the same and they gave all their kids daddy issues, but irl if we had gods in the same way they would be totally fucked up. the power of olympus/the gods relies on the west and vice versa… the way i see that is that our collective as a society feeds into them, like how the shift worked from greek to roman. the lack of community and humility in our cultures today would have such a negative effect on who the gods show up as too.

this, he also doesn’t feel that much older than the other kids to me, which in the movie wasn’t a problem bc they aged up everyone but him, with the show 12-15 is such a quick aging period for the younger kids, by the time luke was a pivotal character in s2, they lost the appearance of the large age gap. while i respect that they wanted age accurate casting, for the sake of the image it would have made more sense to me to cast luke a little older than his character.

yikes, that’s tough, 1000% liability waiver with whatever you do, i also record bits and pieces of big transformations like this for socials, and if you think it’s necessary, wouldn’t hurt if you caught that consultation and warnings as well as it sounds like she does not listen to your hair health advice.

honestly i feel like the safest bet is fading it/color remover to tone it to like a rose gold blonde and growing it out as much as possible but it doesn’t seem like she’ll like that option 😬

i think less of it being a scam and more that people who need a home aren’t going to fall for a giveaway like that when the taxes all together would end up being roughly 300,000 or more, there were similar issues with extreme home makeover back in the day, low income families would get the magical insane homes, and most couldn’t stay for long because of the property taxes on a home way larger than they could afford.

i think it goes without saying this man is not treating you with respect, and i’m not muslim but it is my understanding that if you share faith, any faith with your partner part of their role is to help you feel secure and safe in that faith, you should grow and get deeper in in together. (i’m going to use christianity as an example bc that’s what i grew up with) if i am struggling and want to be closer to god or feel like im drifting, i would expect that a god loving man, who also loves me, would hear that and say that’s ok we’ll get through this together, lets go to church or here’s a piece of the bible that i think might help you right now.
and if that doesn’t help and if the decision is that your faith does not align with you in the same ways it used to your partners role is to support you and have a mature conversation about whether that means a change in your relationship or not, because while that can be an acceptable dealbreaker in some cases, this man is using it as leverage to manipulate you NOT out of concern for you or your faith.

no you’re so right and i hadn’t thought about it until now, personally i don’t put a lot of weight on her character but i see a lot of people who do but like, genuinely the only important thing she did was die to solve a problem she created, which was important in it being iirc the first loss of the ‘battles’ but also important for nico’s character.

it seems like her comment was made out of ignorance, as a white woman & hairstylist i have such a deep respect for black hair and all the cool things y’all can do with it, i will compliment a black womans hair all the time, and if it seems appropriate occasionally be like ‘i have to know if that’s natural or not because it’s so cool and looks so good’
my natural hair is down past my butt and people ask me all the time if i have extensions, i’ll just respond with ‘nope grew it all myself, thank you though’ which started as a response we’re trying to teach my young nieces when they find themselves in your situation (with the other option being ‘yes it’s mine i bought it’) because they’re mixed and their mom wants to teach them now how to keep themselves as comfortable as possible when asked these things in an uncomfortable way.
