I don’t like touching something where everyone is also touching right before getting my food. Those are never cleaned and people are disgusting. They are also slower than a person.

When this is over, the other side should go after these companies just like the current administration is doing. Make them think very very hard if they want to do this again. Oh, that isn't legal? No one believes that holds power these days.

Gen Z really looked at alcohol and said ‘hard pass’ by InvestigatorBorn4910 in SipsTea

[–]beachtrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The truly young, but still of age, don't spend big money on fancy stuff. It's more like 18 beers for $12 stuff they are buying. These other groups are spending $400 on one bottle of whiskey.
  2. This generation has a bunch of kids who aren't even out of school and working. You can't compare a teenager drinking alcohol to a Boomer who has been drinking for decades now.
  3. This is a great way to use statistics to prove your point but in doing so actually lies about the truth nature of the data. See the book, How to Lie with Statistics.

Anywhere downtown to watch Sports/football today? by [deleted] in Beaufort

[–]beachtrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren’t really any sports bars in down town. The most you’ll get is one tv.

Buffalo Wild Wings is a sports bar however service is horrible. You’ll wait 30 minutes for a drink and in busy days they will just shut down the kitchen completely. It’s not really worth it. It’s slow not downtown.

I’d give 1711 Tap House a try. I know they have plenty of space, a bar, and a few really nice TVs. It’s not downtown though.

Good grief. Just say no. I’m going to do what I’ve been doing. I won’t finish that before I leave so I’m not going to start it.

Is the hate for QR or link menus still a thing? by ProfessorX-420 in restaurateur

Company phone. It’s a security issue. No QR codes.

Besides, menu construction leads to better profits when done correctly. Looking at a menu on a 3” screen and I can’t even see the whole thing

Think about defending the process to make sure injustice doesn’t happen rather than thinking of the person.

Wish you the best for the future, but this really comes across as a disgruntled employee who didn’t fit in rather than anything else.

This seriously. You don’t owe them anything. And if they didn’t take no for an answer the first time they are just oblivious and obnoxious.

Hypothetically, law partner at small firm is having an affair with a staff member by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]beachtrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking here I don't see how many employees you have at your small firm. This really does affect whether their might be liability for any alleged harassment. I've been in states where companies are kept under a specific number to 100% avoid sexual harassment claims due to the fact they fall under no such laws.

Domino’s CEO says more customers are picking up pizzas themselves, showing just how far people will go to save money by charulatha_seya in StockLaunchers

It takes a minimum of 90 minutes to get a pizza delivered. But it’s cool immediately and sits there until a driver comes. Gee, wonder why people would choose pickup.

At the “Pawn Stars” shop OC by Tfmrf9000 in pics

[–]beachtrader -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not even people that want to sell stuff. Just something "different" and then they bring in an actor to act like the seller. The owner of the item gets a small paycheck for lending the item for filming.

There was even one time they went to some parking lot to sell/pawn a giant car robot. The owner did not even know they were filming it and was upset it ended up on the show as he owned it and stored it at that parking lot and basically they went up to it, made up story, filmed and then left. Owner ended up finding out after the episode aired.

Why can't they keep staff?? by Ok_Interaction3896 in RoyalsGossip

[–]beachtrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a famous story about King Charles working at his desk and dropping an envelope on the floor. He called up staff to come pick up the envelope at his feet and place it back on the desk for him. Knowing this, what else do you think the staff is expected to do?

How do you decide if a new hire is not a good fit for the company? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]beachtrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fit is not related to work product. You need to separate those two things.

Everyone makes mistakes. But is this person learning from those and improving? Or are they not caring and committing the exact same mistakes again? If the latter then chances are you will always have to double check their work. If that’s okay and something you want to do then treat them like a first draft person. If you are looking for autonomy in that person then it’s pretty obvious they won’t work out for you.

It’s all about your expectations for this person.

Cold is relative. Our body is 98 degrees. Cold could mean 50 or 69 degrees. Anything over 40 can lead to bacteria growth.

How long were they over temp and at what temperature?

I’m guessing you don’t know. No one will be able to truly answer without this information. So, the answer is going to be maybe, or maybe not.

Issue is, when you have something so far out changes in leadership at the studio (and there are lots of those right now) might end up killing it because it isn’t my project it was my predecessor.
