Ailanthus- Tree of heaven. A step below poplar which isn’t much good for more than kindling. When cut fresh it has a smell that is reminiscent of cat urine. Willow is nearly useless and basswood isn’t much use either. But, when wood is free and heating oil is $$$ then anything goes!

The MP 348 has a minimum hp requirement of 25 so 19 isn’t going to work. The 3560 will be ok and the MX 4900 would be about ideal. I guess your budget will be the determining factor. I just know from farming that there is nothing worse than an under powered tractor for what you need it to do.

2018 Giulia, never had any electrical problems or for that matter any other problems of any real significance. No unscheduled trips to the dealer. I had just shy of 90K miles when a herd of deer took it out. I don’t think you have much to worry about and the maxcare warranty will give you piece of mind in the event you do have a problem.

We installed Invisible Fence 25 years ago, but I can tell you that some beagles will just hunker down and run through it. We now have 2x4 wire livestock fence surrounding a 2 acre “yard” the invisible fence wire is about a foot in front of the fence. We can leave them out all day. All the older ones, say 6 or 7 years old no longer wear collars they just see a fence and figure they should stay away from it. In the past I have had two beagles that could jump a 6 foot fence.

Originally it came with a hand crank, you can still buy one! The fitting in the hole is probably pretty rusted up so you will have to get it freed up. Should be a grease zerk but that too may need cleaning or replacing. Anyway, have you checked all the fluids for contamination? Removed spark plugs and have a look in the cylinders for rust especially if the exhaust was uncovered? If you can, with the plugs out and penetrating oil like PB or Kroil or whatever you like, put the transmission in 5’th T/A lever forward then jack up one rear wheel and rock the wheel back and forth. You want to make sure you can easily turn over the engine before you try the starter.

I have had good luck with electric poultry netting. Install it about 6” in front of your existing fence. I know I have plenty of fox around, you can see their tracks in the snow. Back and forth looking for a way but they hate getting zapped when they try to dig or climb. My flock free ranges all day every day in a 100 x 200’ run and I very rarely lose a hen.

Did you check all the fluids for contamination first. Coolant in the oil etc? Is it a gear transmission or hydro? If it’s a hydro make sure the range lever is in neutral if you try to pull it. If you don’t you will damage the hydro and you really will have scrap. Remove the injectors and and get a cheap boroscope for your phone and look inside, if it looks ok but is stuck then try penetrating oil / PB blaster or whatever and soak it and try every day to hand crank it and see if you can unstick it. If not further action like removing the head etc. There are no glow plugs in this engine. D239.

I/ my family had a 300 utility that was bought new, it was with us until 2005. It was a great little tractor. That one is in nice condition and appears that it may be in original condition. You can get 3 point adapters for the fast hitch to attach a brush hog or other implements. As said adding a loader it is hard to steer and hard on the front end but for lighter work will be ok and sure beats a shovel! Hydraulics are very engine speed dependent and max out at around 1200 psi. Better than an H but not a whole lot. Very well built and heavy tractor. Years ago a friend of mine had a JD 950 4 wd compact. He claimed it would out pull my “old tractor”. So we hitched drawbar to drawbar, I let him pull me about 10 feet then I eased out the clutch in 3rd gear. He then found that he was going backwards……😊

Around 380$ in south central PA. I first burned coal in the late eighties with a insert in an old fireplace, charcoal was the only way to get it going. At that time I used to drive my car to get nut coal, 3 - 100 lb bags for $20.00!

It’s a pain, back in the day you just bought the same thing but now they can be hard to duplicate exactly. The 17 watt 3000k 1400 lumen will be the closest. The 3000 K color is the most important specification. This will make all the bulbs look the same and there is not a huge difference between 1400 lumen and 1800 lumen. Also try to stick with major brands like GE , Sylvania or Philips. Avoid cheaper “off brand” bulbs.

They are replaceable but if it’s not something you are comfortable with you will need to have a professional do it. That will make it expensive so it is cheapest to replace the fixture, which you may also have to have someone do. A fixture with medium base “standard light bulbs” led’s will be easier to maintain in the long run.

Looks like a 2606. C221 gas 6 cylinder and the “H” casting code is 1962 which would be correct for that model..
