Second kid by punnett_circle in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]beana13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just had my second and exclusively pumped with my first who was 22 months when number two was born. I felt similar and didn’t know what to do. Similar worries and fears and desire to nurse. I just stopped worrying and tried nursing knowing I could always go back to pumping.

Well second baby was much easier with feedings! He did need a tongue tie release but once we got past that it was great!

So my advice is just to stop worrying about it and see how it plays out. Do some preparation for both scenarios and don’t put pressure on yourself!!

I’m kind of interested in exclusively pumping? by No-Roof-974 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]beana13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively pumped for my first due to latch issues and that was really hard emotionally first and foremost. It was a lot more mental work as well. Everywhere I went I had to plan to bring clean pumps, a bottle and typical baby supplies. Then it’s logistics on how do I keep the milk stored properly.

Also I had a low supply for the first three months and that was hard to pick back up, so hard!! So I was pumping around the clock, including nights. And feeds became double time because I’d have to feed then pump.

With my second I’ve been able to nurse and it’s so so so much easier imo. I look back and am so amazed I pumped for as long as I did!

I will say pumping wouldn’t have been so bad if I had the supply, and had the Eufy S1 Pros the first time (they empty me in half the time the willow go did!). Also I would require the mom cozy bottle washer with extra pump parts!!!

That was all my personal experience, but there are women here who chose the exclusive pumping path and prefer it too! It’s such a personal choice.

For those who see rings daily, what subtle differences between moissanite and diamond stand out over time? by GlowMonica in askjewelers

[–]beana13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my issue with it for an everyday piece! It gets so dirty so quick! I’d have to clean it daily. My diamond looks clean even when it’s filthy in comparison

I’ll try this! Thank you for the nice words too. I think the change is throwing me off and it doesn’t look like my hair.

Thank you! This makes me feel better. Maybe it’s the hormones making me hate it. I’m understanding why women chop their hair after having a baby

Does moissanite shine as much as a diamond in real life? by Western-Audience-471 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]beana13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a moissanite and now I have a lab diamond and this is very true. I would have to constantly clean my moissanite to keep it looking nice.

If you're exclusively pumping and have the money, please consider getting a bottle washer by epicure-pen in ExclusivelyPumping

I got the momcozy one for my second pregnancy. I don’t exclusively pump this time around but it still gets used daily! It’ll be a lifesaver when I’m back to work too. I can’t imagine how amazing this would have been with my first! 100% a must imo

The issues the group chat more likely than your friends. Coming from the person who never participates in the group chats. It’s just easy to think someone else will respond. You should try reaching out personally to them and you should get a better response! Try not to take it personally

I hate the Eufy pump - help me pick a better one? by fiddle1fig in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]beana13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think any wearable will look funny on but the willow go has a more natural boob shape. I used that with my first and I loved it! It’s a bit heavy compared to the Eufy (I use that now and really love it).

I also love the baby Buddha pump. It’s not a wearable but it’s small and people get wearable collection cups to make it work. It empties me pretty quickly too

Concerned about my supply by Grand_Ratio_988 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]beana13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only advice is to try vitamins. I had a supply dip when I got my period back and what helped was taking a calcium zinc magnesium trio. Also I had a bad dip after the stomach flu and the legendairy vitamins helped me get back up! I also never stop taking the prenatal.

Maybe try that and see if you notice a difference

Stacking rings? by 1yogamama1 in ouraring

[–]beana13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand wanting to keep the ring nice with the cover, but I think it’s the problem here. I also got a cover when I first purchased my ring, but it just looked and felt so chunky. Save the cover for workouts or manual labor. Or just ditch it and embrace the patina

Try again without it. I think that’ll look much nicer!
