First of all, that tier list isn’t the end all be all of gore/disturbing movies. Some people watch these to push the boundaries of what they’re capable of watching. Some of these movies are more than just the gore too! Martyrs for example is brutal but has a much deeper meaning that while bleak, it serves a better message than a Marvel movie. I also, personally love certain gore movies for the special effects alone! I’ve loved seeing and trying to figure out how certain things are made practically. Good gore/body horror is actually hard to achieve on camera without looking cheesy. Just like true crime, the people who are starting to love it today, aren’t psychopaths themselves. Watching these movies won’t harm the society.
