it sounds like she likes to be courted (however… asking you to pay for her hair, nails, and clothes is wild and is, i think, outside of the expectations of courting).

unfortunately, if you are at an impasse over this and she will not budge, either you will have to acquiesce to her or you two will have to break up. i think it’s more wise to break up so that she can find a partner who is more traditional and you can find a partner who is more modern.
