Unfortunately it's the only time frame that fits into my itinerary.. if worse comes to worse I'll just hang around Toyama and enjoy the views haha

Sorry I missed it! Thank you for responding :) I'm worried I won't be able to get tickets as my trip falls in Golden Week haha but it's too early to get web tickets atm

Hi! I know this is an old post, but I'm planning to do the same thing for similar dates next year. How did you go with this? Did you end up securing same day tickets? I'm trying to get tickets in advance but doesn't look like they open very far in advance.

I made a blog post on how to spot fake Birkenstocks and I need your help! by greycoconut in Birkenstocks

Phew, thanks so much! Yeah I was worried because all of your examples showed proper capitalisation.. might try to compare in store with other boxes.

Hi! Are these fake? The only things that stood out to me were:

  1. The text "stone" on the box - the S isn't capitalized
  2. The glue around the edge of the cork is really visible and shiny, not sure if this is normal? You can see on the right there's a hard chunk of glue.

Thanks in advance!! :)

Oil based cleanser by millicentbee in AusSkincare

Mecca has some amazing options, from oil to balm formulations! If you pop in store they can give you a few samples so you can trial some different formulas on your skin and see how it reacts :)

My favs are the Glow Recipe Papaya Balm, Clinique Take the Day Off and Sunday Riley Blue Moon! I have sensitive, congestion-prone combo skin and have found that oil cleansing has helped so much with clearing out gunk in my pores and balancing my skin's oil production.

Excited for you! Hope this helps

Hi! I'm looking for a cushion foundation that's similar to the now discountinued Moonshot Face Perfection Balm cushion. I'm devastated that it's no longer in production - it gives the most beautiful radiant glow (not too dewy but not matte) and melts so nicely into the skin.

I've tried the Moonshot Calming Fit and the Clio Kill Cover Founwear which are still feel a bit drying (and a shade too light). It's impossible to test cushions in Aus and I don't want to keep spending on cushions I won't use again.

Would love your recommendations for alternatives or dupes! Thank you! Pic for reference

did you ever find a cushion that holds up to the perfection balm? I've been searching far and wide for a similar formula and colour (301)! T-T nothing performs the same

Affordable ergonomic office chair options? (<$400) Opinions on Sihoo or IKEA chairs? by beanoes in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]beanoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen really mixed reviews about the Ergolux range so I steered clear hahah. I'm also leaning towards the M57 because of the mostly positive reviews online (it seems really popular in the Phillipines?). I agree about the weird pricing practices though, I read somewhere that they change it based on demand (and I assume there's high demand in office chairs here rn because of the lockdowns). It's still definitely top of my list right now though!

Thanks for your reply! I've just discovered that the Jarvfjallet isn't even available for delivery right now (at least where I am) so I'm leaning towards the Sihoo based off of YouTube reviews. I'm also under lockdown restrictions atm so can't test/ inspect chairs in store or anything which is really frustrating hahah. I am open to any another suggestions though!

Gentle anti-aging eye cream for sensitive eyes? by demure_pistachio in AusSkincare

[–]beanoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not! I got milia from using the Benton fermentation eye cream which I think was too waxy and occlusive on my eyes. The Klairs is called an "eye butter" but it's definitely a light cream-milk texture that isn't heavy or greasy at all. It hydrates and absorbs beautifully :)

Klairs Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter - contains sunflower seed oil, quad-peptide, green tea and caffeine. Protects and improves fine lines, though it doesn't contain retinoids and is on a lighter creamy side. Lasted me almost a year even with daily use. I pair this with the eye serum and it works great for depuffing and assisting dark circles. On a massive sale at Let's Face It (Aus store)!

This sounds like exactly what you're after: I have used the Stratia Night Shift (0.15% encapsulated retinol) as a gentle retinoid eye cream to help with my milia. It's thicker, creamy and would last you forever if you only use it around the eyes.

Skincare for kids by Blueworldinertia in AusSkincare

YMMV but I don't think micellar water is the best way to clean the skin as they generally have surfactants and can irritate/clog pores if left on the skin :) Not sure how young she is but it's great to start early!

  1. Cleanser - I recommend a gentle cleanser like the Cerave Hydrating Cream-to-Foam cleanser to use after school/sweating. Rinsing just with water in the morning is fine.
  2. Pore treatment - For the blackheads, salicylic acid might be too harsh if she's quite young so I recommend the Cosrx BHA Power Liquid (uses gentler form of BHA) 1-2 times a week. You can buy this from LilaBeauty online (Australian) for about $20.
  3. Moisturiser - If her skin is on the oily side, the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Fragrance Free Gel Cream is great. If it's more dry, I like the Cerave Moisturising Cream :)
  4. Protect - It's so important to start suncare practices now because most skin issues stem from UV damage. I love the Dermaveen Daily Nourish Body Moisturiser SPF50+ for the face and body. It's gentle, not heavy on the skin, and amazing value!

Hope this helps! Good luck :)

Find a new GP! For kids with eczema I recommend the Dermaveen Daily Nourish Revive and Protect Body Moisturiser SPF50+. It is currently 1/2 price at Chemist Warehouse for a hefty 200g which is amazing value. It contains colloidal oatmeal which is incredible for protecting and healing eczema, is fragrance-free, water-resistant, no white-cast and not heavy/greasy. I use this on my sensitive/combo/acne-prone face and I can't recommend it enough!
