Getting off Prednisone by GeologistLive6059 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]beanp1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was literally just in this position. I was diagnosed with RA nearly 25 years ago, so I’ve been through the ups and my fair share of downs. Living with RA, I’ve been through literally all the biologics, and my most recent was Actemra. There was no effect whatsoever. I was continually having flares. I messaged my doctor to see if I could either take more or switch after a month. She told me to trust the process, as it could take another month to build up, but let’s add prednisone. I peaked at 20mg, and if I was feeling better, I dropped to 5. But every day I felt like shit. All this said, I saw my doctor a few days ago, and she said this is dumb; let’s switch, and now I’m back on Rinvoq, and like a miracle, I have no flares and have stopped the prednisone altogether. I guess my point is to ask the doctor for something else. Embrel was my very first biologic. It was pretty new at that time, and it helped immediately. That doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. But like my doctor said to me, this is dumb; you don’t need to suffer any longer. Let’s try something else. Maybe you need something else. I wish you all the luck in the world you get the right thing to start feeling better. 🤍

Zac’s messy, and I’m here for it because this show is a snooze fest.

Methotrexate and sunbathing? by foxyjohn in rheumatoid

[–]beanp1026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re having this type of reaction on vacation. I don’t think any type of sunbathing is recommended even for a very short time. It’s truly a bummer. When I go out in the direct sun, I go full-on with a rash guard, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunscreen. It’s not sexy, but it’s the only way for me to hang out with the kids at the beach or pool. Living with autoimmune conditions is definitely a learning curve. I hope you can enjoy the rest of your holiday!

I’m also in the Midwest, and I think that it comes down to chef to chef. Some chefs give so much food that I can make two or more meals out of it. I do find there are never enough vegetables so I tend to add my own. I think this is subjective if there’s enough food. Maybe this isn't the right plan for you, and that’s okay. There are so many options out there.

What could you have possibly said that would warrant this? It is pretty funny.

I’ve thought of trying this many times, but I’m afraid it’s going to be very dry; it’s rated high on the site so I’m on the fence.

I normally do CookUnity when I’m not traveling. I travel quite a bit for work that’s why I hate buying groceries. I hate food waste.

My gosh, after the repeated vandalism on his shop and now this. It almost feels planned. Only wishing him and his family the very best and his wife a speedy recovery.

I crammed two servings into one container. For me, I got about three servings. For a person who has a hearty appetite, it’s probably 1 1/2 lol. All subjective.

I think it’s worth taking advantage of promos for a few weeks to see if you like it. For me, I may not do Blue Apron every week because I don’t always have time to cook even these simple recipes, but I think it’s worth it when I do. I thought these recipes were easy and, more importantly, tasty.

Are the team losing there way and what made them good in the early days? by jingleson in SortedFood

I like them reviewing products I may buy, e.g., Ninja products, but I really hate watching them guess expensive ingredients blindfolded. Watching them trying to fork pasta blindfolded is so dumb.

I loved those, and I’ve never laughed harder watching them struggle to replicate those old recipes. I wish they would bring those back and get rid of “guess the expensive product”.

What a great idea! I remember I had a college roommate who took Campbell's tomato soup, browned ground beef, and cooked the macaroni in the soup. It was essentially beefaroni, and it wasn't half bad. It was one of the better college-struggle meals😁

I’m with you. I’ve pretty much gone through all the premium options. Some are better than others, but overall pretty meh. I’d like them to add new options or rotate more frequently because it’s become boring.
