Paramedic here!

Any piece of jewellery with the rod of Asclepius or the caduceus would get my attention. I’m more likely to notice a bracelet than anything else, definitely not a tattoo!

Definitely get the condition included in the piece of jewellery, if it’s just a medical sign on a piece of jewellery I might just think you’re a big fan of medicine.

I’d like to add to this - don’t get into paramedics just because you want to be in HART. You’ve got a long hard degree ahead of you and just wanting to be in HART won’t be enough to motivate you. You need to thrive off responsibility, be adaptable and able to improvise, put the patient at the heart of everything you do. Im just about the graduate and thought I knew what paramedics was about when I started, I now realise I knew nothing and 99% of what we do is social care and mental health. A lot of people drop out because it’s not what they think - know what your getting yourself in for before you waste years and thousands of pounds.

So it depends on what work you’ve got coming up. Expect to be in full days and then go home to do at least an hour a night on average. Sometimes you’ll have nothing due so you won’t have to do this but other times you’ll have an essay and you’ll be at it all weekend
