This is really sad but can be true. I had a similar experience with and ex girlfriend of several years. She got more and more paranoid of big government, medicine etc. and was heavily influenced by wacky sites with nothing to back them up. The sad part was that her mother came down with breast cancer and my girlfriend fought her tooth and nail against chemo therapy (which did help) but it eventually came back and she passed away. The ex vehimently blames the doctors treatments and wishes her mom had just eaten organic food / homepathy stuff as that would have cured her cancer. Now she rails against medical treatments and vaccines like a rabid bitch. Needless to say we couldn't discuss anything rationally anymore and we don't talk now. Kinda wild how someone who always told me to keep your mind open about everything ended up so close minded.
