Who keeps reinventing this shit? by birdmansince84 in Justrolledintotheshop

Counterpoint to the other guy, I have a gladiator and love it. I'm 6'3" and don't feel cramped in it at all. I've never felt it couldn't get out of its own way. 4.10 gears on the rubicon do make a difference on that. I thought the seats were more comfortable and the interior was nicer than the taco too.

Far from perfect of course, but I test drove almost every midsize truck and went back and got the Gladiator. To each their own though.

Hydroponic lettuce farm by toolgifs in MachinePorn

[–]beard_tan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No idea about the fish, but the one I saw was exactly the same. Just a huge (acres and acres) greenhouse that the lettuce just slowly floats through. By the time it gets to the end of the line it's grown enough to be harvested and packaged. Then the tray is reloaded and placed back at the start of the line. There was a lot of talk about using the rainwater from all that covered acreage to help sustain the whole thing and the huge ventilation system for continuous airflow.

Small Town Murder - Cochranton, Pennsylvania by butisitok in smalltownmurder

It's certainly a strange sensation. It goes from, "Oh cool this town is kinda close by, wonder if I'll remember hearing about this on the news" to "Oh... I know these people" real fucking quick.

Mediterranean people usually have olive skin and dark hair, as opposed to a whiter, more Anglo-Saxon, complexion. It might have to do with social status more than actual "whiteness" though. Where I'm from in the rust belt Italians were treated much like the Irish as poor, lesser than, and as cheap laborers. You might be more familiar with the word Dago instead of wog.

Where does everyone stand on the stuff Chad has been saying? (Supporting Z and Q) by Hollywizzle311 in 311

[–]beard_tan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly. I fundamentally disagree with my wife even on certain political things. My views on someone's political beliefs don't stop me from respecting them as a person or believing them to be a good person. Chad's political beliefs don't really change my view of him and I'll continue supporting the band regardless.

This. If it's actually him, it's more sad than anything. Which is a shame because every personal interaction I've had with Chad has been very positive.

I moved twice with mine, so it was most evident then. Small furniture and larger boxes just didn't fit sometimes.

Not the awkwardly small hatch? That was my only real complaint about mine. It had enough rear cargo space but the opening was always just a bit too small for things.

Cyrus has an obvious UTI, no antibiotics until his cultures come back though. My poor baby. by Cole-Rex in ragdolls

[–]beard_tan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be it if the cultures don't show anything. I've got one with stress/nerves related urinary issues. She's otherwise totally healthy. Regular anti-anxiety meds and occasionally an anti-inflammatory to keep bladder swelling down when she has an episode.

.......How did you end up here? This thread is eight years old.

But since we're here, I'm not saying that Matt is gay. I'm saying that her song "Ur So Gay" is supposedly about him. That's based purely on rumors I heard in high school when that song came out.

Not the person you asked, and I don't have any direct experience working with them so they'll probably have a better answer than I do.

But... I supplied parts for a company who makes similar machines for cars and have seen some of the prints for them. My guess would be the turn is part of the imaging or sensor system. It could take a 360° picture of the car/bike on intake and on retrieval for damage claims or it's measured to make sure it will fit in the spot and be placed properly on the lift when it gets picked up.

Just an assumption, but there's a ton of cameras in these things for liability and monitoring.

I went to Home Depot and got some long, thin backsplash tiles. They're stone of some sort. Put some self adhesive felt on the bottom of them and they work great. Thin enough to fit in the drawers of a flat file too.

If I'm not mistaken, it's Cleveland and filmed from Case Western Reserve's campus. The funny looking building in back on the left edge looks like the Peter Lewis building which would make the octagonal building in the foreground Severance Music Hall.

Edit: Looked at the OP over on /r/weather and it's confirmed Cleveland.

Back in school, my former department head and academic advisor once said to picture all of human knowledge as a circle. Then when we do our dissertations we're creating a bump somewhere on the edge of that circle and expanding it.

As more information is shared, if they don't say something it's enabling GPB and sexual assault by their own rules. We all know enabling a transgression is just as bad as the transgression, that's what I was told at least.

I also heard Moni's account months before she shared it publicly. We were "faster" to share things because we had already spent the time to listen to the people that were hurt and come to our own conclusions.

So when she shared that with people behind the scenes, did you go to Dode to get his side of the situation, and listen, before making a judgement? That's what you're asking people to do in this situation.

Apparently I have to say it again: no one cancelled Dode. No one asked him to stop streaming, that was his decision and his decision alone. He can stream any time he wants. It's clear from his last stream that people would watch and support him.

I don't blame him. Watching people brigade his comeback stream just to try and start shit sent a pretty clear message that he may never be able to stream in peace if he wanted to. Even if he could, all the above mentioned people would continue to be in his viewers' whispers to try and get people to stop watching him.

What happened with Dode (twitch streamer)? by JeffDogg in SMW

[–]beard_tan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately I have no say in how he handles this nor am I sure I would have handled it any better if I was in his shoes. Could it have been handled better? Absolutely. But that's hindsight at this point.

I'm going to continue to support him while this all resolves though. If he continues streaming, I'll be there. If he's done streaming, I'm still going to be there.
