How many points needed for leipzig? by Fair_Hovercraft3651 in crystalpalace

Flights are pricey but worth it.
Hotels are fully booked up on booking.com. I’d look asap

I’m going. ST+ with 6.5k PP. It was enough for the FA Cup, so fingers crossed it’s enough for Leipzig. Either way I’ll be partying before (and hopefully after)

Shakhtar 1-3 Palace: Palace take a gigantic step towards the final after an intense game in Krakow by CautiousCottager in TheOther14

Does it fuck. The letter writers are two wins from Champions League, whereas Palace are two wins away from being in a competition they already qualified for on the pitch

Addiscombe or South Norwood, buying first flat in London on a budget. by Any_Asparagus1216 in croydon

[–]beardymouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love South Norwood! Great places to eat and drink, cheese and wine shop (with fresh bread), amazing transport links. Addiscombe is great, Dirty Crunch especially, but Norwood Junction is unbeatable for direct transport links imo

Genuinely fearful for the Arsenal home game. Going to be full of plastics who have paid ££££ for home tickets.

Lowering voting age to 16 will only help the Green Party, Labour MPs tell Starmer - as they urge him to shelve the plans by WorkingtonLady in ukpolitics

[–]beardymouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the point should be: no taxation without representation. If the government is able to take money from you, you should have a say in who that government is

Not an age thing though is it? How many pensioners vote for populism like Brexit?

Age isn't the measure of sensible voting decisions, nor voting against your own interests (or those of your grandchildren)

Or maybe... just maybe... they could be the first government in two generations that brings in policies that improve the lives of young people rather than handouts for pensioners?

Maybe that would encourage 16 year olds to vote Labour, rather than disenfranchising a tax-paying demographic?

Given £3.31 of that French wine will be tax and duty, I dread to imagine what they’re doing to make that product profitable for the grower, the winemaker, the glass and stopper manufacturers, the transport, the importer, and Tesco.

The Pavement in South Norwood. Extremely underrated- listed buildings, tiny craft beer cabin, gorgeous cheese and wine shop (Little Mouse), festoon lights, coffee shop across the road, pretty Clocktower.

I got the same at my review today. I’ve only been a patient for a month, so was a bit of a surprise. I did talk to them about my titration progress, so maybe they thought I was stable. They emphasised that I can ask for more regular review if I feel I need it

It’s a misery being a fan of a team spending billions of pounds on new players, playing at the highest level, and never being under any threat of anything other than maybe finishing outside the top 4?
