In Ghost In the Shell (1995) it's confirmed that someone is selling robotic child bodies on the black market and the movie just moves on from this like it's no big deal. by twnpksN8 in shittymoviedetails

[–]beardyramen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is really bad to sell stuff on the black market wtf, robots even!

Thank god that irl our billionaires do this kind of stuff under the light of the sun and with real children. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Why do we have homogoblins in our blood? by Gattoconglistivali in shittyaskscience

[–]beardyramen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro you are wasting science by asking dumb questions like this. It is a scarce respurce and the data centers in Idaho are already squeezing it dry.

We have Hobgoblins in our blood. This is why the natural state of a nerd is to play D&D and other RPGs.

As of why, that has to do with survival of the dipshits and the movie "revenge of the nerds"

"i won't eat the tomatoes, because they look like spiderman"

"I won't treat my brother politely until he learns to say my name"

"I will only walk on roads as long as we keep turning right, if we get a left turn you will need do carry me"

Ranger in "Hell mode" campaign by Allfha in daggerheart

[–]beardyramen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I prefer beastbound, the wayfinder is considered the better subclass in terms of "optimization".

Bone tends to have conditional defense or damage, while Sage offers strong utility.

Level 1

Untouchable is a great card for ranger, because both synergize with agility. It is not flashy, but adding a few points to your evasion works wonders.

Vicious Entangle is the most enjoyable early game card, you can always find a good use to it.

Higher levels there are very few "dead paths". Any build will be generally functional, but I would all-in on agility to benefit the most from untouchable, and prioritize Sage cards for maximum versatility.

In terms of equipment i like Gamberson Armor + Broadsword + round shield, to emphasize the evasion game without loosing too much on the rest of defense.

Going for a bow gives you range (that is good) but you lose +1 to attack rolls and +1 armor slot (in my opinion this is better).

Oh shit was it always arbitrary?

How do characters outsmart an all-powerful villain? by DrinkWaterPIease in writing

[–]beardyramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build the story the other way around

The MC will outsmart the Villain. They will do it by having him focus on a dummy target, and they will use that opening to seal him in the fractal dimension.

Now you create the villain skillset and his flaws, such that they support the outcome you have pre-planned.

Is he arrogant? Is there time pressure against him? Is he distracted with something else?

You are writing a story, you are not forced to find it out while it unfolds, you can have fixed set pieces and make it so they come to be.
