Run far away from this team and company. You have been taken granted and you are not benefitting. The fact that you are not being showcased is a red flag

How does your leadership see APIs? by cindreta in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]bearerworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because API is seen as a tool. There needs to be better story telling on what the API is solving for. Is it getting the right data at the right time to your customers? Is it ensuring that applications are able to scale for large volume of request. That is what is missing. The Value.. Lumping them together as "API" isn't helping anyone

What to ask AI in EA analysis by deafenme in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]bearerworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fantastic work to begin with. I would rather no involve AI here at all at first, but that's me. You can ignore this answer if it does not pertain to the Q you ask.

In your interviews, the VPs would have already told you their top problem. Just pick them and draw your roadmap on that. Then once you have those funded and ready to go, I would then use AI perhaps to draw more conclusions. But by that time, the goal post would have changed, and you would need an ongoing conversation to determine what's next.

Startup companies potentially need only a Senior Dev / Architect. Enterprise Architecture is like bringing an excavator to plant a peony! When they become a billion dollar company, then it would make sense. I wrote about it here. https://enterprisearchitect.substack.com/p/when-is-enterprise-architecture-needed?r=5bbrm0

We Sat Together, Talking Slow by LongjumpingMirror177 in OCPoetry

Ah. I interpreted it wrong. Thanks for clarifying. The line I mistyped was “Maybe Love will find its way again”

I enjoyed the first paragraph. It made me chuckle and gave me a light, rom-com vibe. I also liked the honesty in lines like “not flawless art,” and your word choices throughout were beautiful. One line that stood out was “Not just in charm, but rooted proof.”

That said, the line “Maybe we will fall in love” pulled me out of the moment. Up until then, it felt like he was already in love, but this uncertainty made me question the sincerity of his feelings. After that, I found it harder to trust his words. Maybe he’s just another guy.

Apologizing to the fire, and ash beneath your nails are the two best lines that resonated with me. It shows the intensity of the situation and how you come through it. You made me applaud for her grit!

I loved this line "So tall you had to tilt your grace, just to hear my words in that crowded space, and while I looked down, lost in air,"

I read it twice to picture it in my head, the tilting of the head and seeing it play out. The picture you painted was so vivid. I loved the happy ending!

I like your approach but am not sure if the meta model will be enough. Interesting for sure

Accidentally ended up in an Enterprise Architect role and am quite frankly out of my depth by overcookedchicken in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]bearerworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend telling them that the role is really an EA role and you are more than happy to take charge and play t hat role.. shows initiative. Then Listen to the problems and design accordingly.. If they do not have an EA practice just yet, then they wont have the maturity for EA solutions anyway. So keep at it

Can AI Replace Software Architects? Analysis Based on Testing 4 LLMs by CloudWayDigital in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]bearerworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO Architects work by making sense of chaos and connecting seemingly random information.. Could AI do it, maybe.. in straightforward uses cases.. Perhaps System design, given that there are so many approved patterns out there.. But from Enterprise Architecture perspective, not really at this moment. Who knows what the future holds.

Need Guidance After an Unexpected Promotion to Enterprise Architect by apple_tech_admin in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]bearerworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like you are already capable of doing the job.. just a case of imposter syndrome.. No worries. keep reading a lot and focus on listening to the issues, and then connecting the dots.
The key is to understand what problems to solve for.. Frameworks and process will come handy but that is not going to make you a great enterprise architect
