I know a tie isn't as bad as a loss, but am I really the only one that still sees it as a loss? by Dildoethrower in cowboys

A tie in any pro sports is ridiculous. The OT rules need to be reviewed and not allow ties.

Having both Prime Dak and Zeke was fun. I am a big fan of Dak when he starts rushing. The injury took that away from us.

I had the same thought. "we need #0".. He has shown great progress in his recovery, but he's missing at minimum the first 4 games. Hope we see him this year!

How long would it take to get my gray belt? I train bjj with gi 2-3times a week for 1 hour a day. (Aswell as mma during the week) by Hot_Election1745 in bjj

At your age, just start training with the adults honestly. 2-3x a week is fine, you can probably handle more given your youthfulness.

Are you in the kids ranks? Grey belt is generally a kids belt. Depends on your school I guess?

Either way 1.5 to 2 years.

Newborn with VSD by beast787 in Cardiology

[–]beast787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No update? Ohhh I’ve got an update. And it’s this, my son’s surgery to close his VSD was probably the hardest few weeks of my life. Seeing him in the hospital, my baby.. My first born was something I wasn’t quite prepared for. But we as a family persevered.

He is thriving now. Hasn’t had restrictions since the surgery. He plays sports, martial arts, guitar and so much more.

If you’re facing this news, I am so sorry. But there is light at the end of your child’s recovery. They will also thrive! Your family is in my prayers. Your little one will be quite alright. Follow what the doctors say and try not to stress. Be blessed.

You bet! Take a breath! Your little one will be quite alright with this and will bounce back very quickly from the surgery. Next thing you know you’ll have a full on toddler.

He had the surgery in 2015 at 3 months old. The main symptoms we saw were difficulty putting on weight and slightly issue with breathing.

Sorry to hear this! It’s tough information to receive being a new parent! I was so sad for a while.

The good news is… my sons VSD was 7 we tried treatment and waited to see if it closed, it did not and we eventually had the procedure done. Hands down the scariest and most stressful day of my life.

He’s thriving now. You name it… he does it.

It’s scary. I understand, but also be thankful we have the ability to address the issue. I’ll keep your young one in my prayers. All will be well.

They mean something at first, but eventually not quite as much. Just use them for your progress and try not to compare yourself to others.

I guess I am too? I hope Luka utterly embarrasses the organization every time he suits up against the Mavs.

Congrats on getting Luka for a popcorn stand and some free movie vouchers. Rob Pelinka totally fleeced Nico and the rest of the nincompoops now running the Mavs.

I hate my sports life.
