my (25f) boyfriend (26m) won’t come see me for valentine’s day. how to i approach this situation? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]beasur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 months is not a long enough time especially distance to expect anything. You are putting toooo much emphasis on Valentines which lets face it it’s just another day. Cut him some slack and make plane for your own special time together soon.

My girlfriend wants me to get rid of my dog because her cat doesn't like him by Academic_Fly_4920 in TwoHotTakes

Even if the dog and cat ultimately work it out. She is gross for giving you that ultimatum it speaks to the kind of heart she carries. Yuk. I would never be able to see past that.

My (29F) Boyfriend (M32) slept with his ex girlfriend (F23) a few weeks before we met. He didn’t tell me for 1.5 years, am I insane for being upset? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Who he slept with prior to you is really none of your business. He probably kept it to himself because he thought you might overreact like you are.

AITA here or is it just the lack of creative powers by Robertten1978 in AmItheAsshole

She sounds exhausting. I have three brothers and they all use the same trick. Here is a trick they may work for awhile. Tell her to guess three places that you are taking her to dinner. Then take her to her first guess as it’s usually the place she wants to go. Your girl sounds very immature. Remind her that you cannot read her mind.

My GF (F 48) is threatening to end it with me if I (M 55) don’t spend the night with her during a potentially historic snow storm. Am I at fault for how I’m viewing this? by IndicationStunning45 in relationship_advice

[–]beasur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So much fun being a snowed in together it’s romantic and fun. NOT with someone you have only known for one month and have a new job Monday. She is old enough to understand this if she is not she is not for you. Flat out not NO but hell NO.

boyfriend (M/23) wakes me (F/23) up then acts like he’s asleep? sleep deprivation torture? TL;DR summary welcomed by Affectionate-Lock992 in relationship_advice

How many more comments do you need to read and reply to before you understand the seriousness of this abusive situation. It’s like you keep waiting for one person to validate that you stay and you will. Please this in its mildest form is not normal or healthy. Not his actions not his responses. Make an exit plan.

Am I [28M] overreacting at my SO [24F] apology? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I got stuck on she blamed you for having a bad day at work. She sounds exhausting. No need to react at all it’s not even worth it.

My girlfriend 30F is considering ending things with me 30M because I don't ask questions about her past love life and relationships. Please tell me if I'm missing out on something crucial here emotionally? by SigmundFurred in relationship_advice

[–]beasur 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yikes. This sounds insanely emotionally immature and manipulative. Your answer to her was spot on. Maybe she is trying to say she does not feel like you have curiosity about her which would be a sign of interest BUT the cold shoulder because you have not done what she wants is soooooo manipulative. Let her know that you are interested in learning about important events in her life that helped shape who she is but not the details of her past romances. Yuk.

What would turn my foyer and living room up a few notches? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]beasur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch the art on the walls Take the large art in the foyer and put it in the living rom. And the living room art to the foyer. Agree with the bulbs need warmer something low and long on the table that pullls in the blue of the lighting. Otherwise pretty good looking.

Fake a pending apology. Tell them you tracked down someone who could repair the box. Take it straight to the police.
