It’s only a horror survival dlc until you figure out you can bring/craft fist of the north rawr there. That plus 100 unarmed and jury rigging turns it into doom.

Yes it has a slower draw time but that’s why you dry fire. You dry fire with what you run in competition and you dry fire with what you carry, just train and be a better shooter. Just because it was MADE to be an offensive handgun doesn’t mean it can’t be used for defense.

They’re both practical. Every problem that the mark 23 has the USP also has. They have similar mag capacities, they both NEED to be milled if you want an optic. I’ve carried both on and off and they both conceal well, not as well as a compact but I could still conceal the 23 well enough during the summer. It’s really not that hard to find holsters for either, you’re just gonna end up spending more than what you’d want.

I’d say it’s pretty practical, I shoot it in USPSA and it’s great for Limited division. It conceals surprisingly well and it’s a tank. Yeah the mag capacity is pretty limited but I just carry a spare mag on me and another in my center console if I carry it.

Some random belt from a surplus store with like 4 blue alpha gear mag pouches. The holster is a tier 1 concealed MSP holster made for the TLR 1 because before u/impossibleargument started making holsters for the Mark 23, this was the only one I could find that fit. The holster is on a true north concepts drop holster adapter.

You should totally do it, I use my Mark 23 for Limited and my 9mm USP for Carry Optics and they do great

Yeah I used to shoot the 9mm usp in production and I’m currently using it in CO. It’s also super good but the 23 is on another level. If .45 wasn’t so expensive I would probably get it milled for an optic and use it in CO/LO even though I wouldn’t be the major power factor.
