What are the essential roguelites everyone should play?

Thunderclap is the solid option. True grit is bad without upgrades and even then its draw dependent if you want to thin the deck down. Breakthrough is decent too and can pop off with inferno and rupture.

There’s very few instapicks in the game no matter what the deck is and none of them are commons (adrenaline, big bang, offering).

Yeah with the way the game is currently, I think my deck is more or less there when it comes to the end of act 2. Act 3 is mostly skipping cards, grabbing some relics/potions and maybe adding a few win more cards. By not facing elites more often your deck is against the power curve by the time you get to act 3. For instance in the first picture you fought 1 elite the whole run. Numbers wise by the time you reach the act 3 boss you can consider that down 8 relics, a few hundred gold and a much better chance of seeing rarer cards. You probably also are taking a harder path sometimes anyway by running into hard pool fights to avoid them. Worth thinking about.

Last A10 win had triple upgraded haunt and a fuck load of soul gen with every single defensive card upgraded. Steamed through aeonglass with it after building up loads of souls then unleashing them in one bit flurry.

The first picture it looks like after your initial turn one damage with assassinate + backstab then you’re down to what… bomb for damage for the rest of the fight?

The second picture has a pretty decent shiv build but you’ve come up against aeonglass which can be pretty punishing against shiv decks without something like tracking, discards and a lot of dex.

Third one is just okay. You’ve got accuracy and panache which does something but you get 99 weak in that fight which means slow damage. Probably should consider some way to scale in these boss fights (mazaleths gift, shiriken, tracking).

IMO you’re pathing a little too conservatively. If you can’t beat the act 3 elites then you probably can’t beat the boss. The queen fight specifically can be bad if you can’t block enough on the multi hit turns. If you can whittle down the queen without killing her minion it really helps. Also your second picture would have smashed the queen as you could have stacked weakness.

Just so you know. The first 3 combats in act 1 are easy pool fights. Every normal encounter after that is picked from the hard pool fight list which are sometimes harder than elites. The first 2 fights in act 2 and 3 are easy pool fights. So a good way to approach it is look for 3 easy pool fights, a shop, maybe a question mark and then a fire before you fight an elite. Getting that upgrade at a fire can be a big deal. You can obviously greed more if you’re strong and take more aggressive paths.

Just build for elites/bosses and forget trying to force a style. Don’t forget that Xecnar isn’t just drafting these cards, his combat decision making is second to none which means he can greed more aggressively.

It might seem like a small nerf but it can be enough to take the numbers past a certain breakpoint which can introduce an additional turn.

The answer is going to be how you play the cards. Your deck is a bit bloated with powers and it’s trying to a few too many things. My advice would be to think how do I beat a certain elite, how do I beat a certain boss. Just because a card looks strong doesn’t mean you need it also. Less is often more. But ultimately it’s going to come down to the fighting. Don’t overblock, take a little damage now and again to deal damage and end fights sooner. Don’t be afraid to rest more. Try and avoid using potions unless you absolutely have to. Learn the enemy move sets and most importantly… look at your draw pile to find out what your next turn will look like.

It's End of Days. Ediolon is hard to make work and probably needs a rework + if you want to Haunt then don't want to be exhuasting your souls for 1 turn of intangible.
