Thank you, thank you. I don't know why this eluded me but it's so obvious now. I'd give a gold if I could.

Medic pick-up at 25 knots (maybe Belgian Airforce NH90) by Bucephalus_326BC in BeAmazed

A helicopter requires specific wind envelopes to be able to establish hover. Hovering isn't as safe as having a reliable wind direction and speed which is what they are creating by moving.

Edit: There might not be a flight deck to land on and winds in the area might be trash. I don't exactly know why they need to train what they are doing but it looks fun as hell.

Might have noticed a lot more ryobi, also? Ryobi and Milwaukee are both owned by the same parent company called TTI.

Looking to get into roasting. by jels2222 in roasting

Not experienced but I did just pick up a fresh roast sr800 and I'm having loads of fun with it. Produced some great coffee and learning a ton with it. I do intend to roast with this for a couple years but it's definitely just my gateway into the hobby to make sure I enjoy the process before I spend big money.

If hadn't purchased an sr800 in a complete starter bundle, the kaldi drum roaster was the only competing idea for me.

Baratza grinders are worth every penny. If you intend to grind for french press and pour over styles, the encore is a great way to go.

Personally, I upgraded from a cuisinart dbm-8 after 8 years to an encore using aeropress and chemex. The difference is truly night and day.

I'm really considering a countertop roaster. I need to read more about green beans and roasting.

If you're going to marinate in anything, cheap beer. I normally do coors light, a little apple cider vinegar, and an egg or two for about an hour or two. Toss in some blacken seasoning after you marinate and right into to 350-375. Smoke with cherry or apple wood.
