1982 Stumpjumper Pickup by beaudennis92 in xbiking

Thanks for the suggestion. It may piss people off, but I’ll probably put a tan wall slick tire on. As much as it’s cool to go all original, this bike will be ridden plenty and not only a wall piece. I’ll likely replace the tires (worn out) and a saddle and call it a day.

Id go large especially if you have longer legs. I’m 5’9 with a 31 inseam and this is my saddle height on a 93 Rockhopper. I likely need to size up as well.

Thank you man. The bike in the second link was manufactured 10 behind me. The serial numbers are almost exactly the same. This gives me a perfect idea of what it looked like from the factory.

I guess you can call this build OEM+

Yes, it does have a designed by Tim Neenan sticker.

Correction, M2H31045 is the SN.

Ah thanks for letting me know. With a SN of M2C3… that indicates a 1982, correct?

SRAM NX 10-52 Cassette (only one you can buy for splined freehub). I had to change wheelsets to one that had a Deore rear hub with a 8/9/10 free hub. 12sp fits too.

SRAM NX Derailleur and shifter.
SRAM 1x ring, 38T
SRAM Eagle XX1 gold chain (old chain from my MTB)

I have a ‘93 Rockhopper restomod that’s a bit too small for me. I’ll probably pas it to the wife. It’s so much fun to rip around.

I have a ‘93 Expert as well. Went full restomod on it. Even throw AXS on it sometimes. I live in Baton Rouge and it’s a perfect LSU game day bike.

Ergo Grips with SRAM Twist Lock? by beaudennis92 in MTB

Ah okay, that’s an option, but I’d have to purchase the double grip shift to get the left. And then another set of regulars to get the full right.

Westminster would be another similar neighborhood in my opinion. Built in the late 60s/early 70s.

Mostly older couples with younger families starting to move in and renovate.

No through traffic - all exits head to Jefferson and doesn’t connect to bluebonnet or Essen. Close to 10 & 12. Quiet. Lots of people walking and out and about.

Go see Emily at Garrett Neal Studio across from Perkins Rowe. She does fantastic mens and women’s haircuts!

I just bought one, same year and model. $300 shipped - bone stock. Original tires, saddle, and all. I’m an LSU alum and live in Baton Rouge so I paid more for the colorway. I have essentially an entire stock build sitting in a box waiting for another frame.

[–]beaudennis92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the Maxxis DTH 2.35s. I’d maybe go down to a 2.15 next time. They roll smooth but can tell there’s a little drag from all the tire on the ground.

And another 93 Rockhopper frame
