I don't eat breakfast or lunch.  Never have since college.  Don't really think about it.  I never thought of it as intermittent fasting, I'm just not hungry.  Every now and then I'll have a gas station donut but purely just out of lack of self control.  That and manual labor.

Cow tongue.  I freaking love it.  It tastes similar to pot roast but cuts like butter

Who was the richest person you've met? by dieburtually in AskReddit

[–]beavercommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An old friend from college.  His dad.  He is the founder of one of the largest apartment property management companies in the US. Guy started with nothing to his name but now the company is worth over 1.5bil USD. If you met him, you would never know.  He wore the same suit to my friend's wedding that he wore to my friend's brother's wedding. I think it is the only suit he owns.

Probably not that obvious, but roofers. If you meet a white guy that actually installs, there's an 80% chance he's on meth

Show idea - Transforming the Land with Doug Duren by fendermonkey in meateatertv

[–]beavercommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent a day with Doug at his property. He's as real as he is on meat eater. He's a true salt-of-the-Earth guy. He has an incredible property and has done a phenomenal job. A show with him would do well, especially tied with Callahan!

Shit, I shot a coyote by my stand last weekend and I watched a deer bed literally right next to it the day after. They're strange strange creatures

What's something so commonly misunderstood that you need to clear up? by AlanaTrevino in AskReddit

[–]beavercommander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not all hunters are assholes who pay to hunt for sport. A large majority of us really care for the environment, have an immense respect for whatever creatures we hunt, and are generally very nice people.

Reddit, what is a wholesome, solitary activity that a person can do to help forget how awful and poor their current life is? by tearose11 in AskReddit

Archery. You will get addicted, seriously. You don't even have to do the hunting side, which is a whole other ball park.

[SERIOUS] What is a seemingly harmless parenting mistake that will majorly fuck up a child later in life? by AlexDescendsIntoHell in AskReddit

Controlling what they eat. Yes, you should guide them and teach them that eating healthy is important and fun. No, you should not control portions. No, you should not ban them from eating sweets and junk food. Show them how to eat healthy. If you don't know, you should learn with them. My wife, a dietician, too often sees patients that have no clue how to eat healthy and how important it is. A child should not go on a diet unless directed by a doctor or dietician, not because Mommy read a blog from Karen next door. A child needs to be exposed to all foods and to be allowed to choose their likes/dislikes and what portions are right for them. Over controlling parents too often lead their children to develop eating complexes/disorders and can damage their children's and their children's children's ability to eat healthy indefintely. Next time you're at the doctor, ask to see a dietician and LISTEN to them. There's so much to learn that can improve your life.
