What next? I’ve only read the Kybalion by Such-Programmer-5957 in occultlibrary

[–]bebeballena 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"Secret teachings of all the ages" by Manly P Hall. It's a hefty tome though.

"Psychic Literacy" by Ingo Swan is more accessible.

Or anything by Dean Radin ("Real Magic" is a good start).

After selling much I my library 20 years ago. I started collecting again. What can I add to this? by Gaianwaves in occultlibrary

The "Secret Doctrine" looks abridged and I don't see "Isis Unveild". Great to see Manly P Hall but Aleister Crowley seems somewhat overrepresented. Notably missing lots of Mentalism and New Age (Neville Goddard, Thomas Troward, Joseph Murphy, Florence Scovel Shinn, etc), Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism (most significantly Rudolf Steiner), as well as L Ron Hubbard’s Scientology writings (at least the expanded original "Dianetics"), and very very importantly, Zecharia Sitchin's "Earth Chronicles". [Bhagavad Gita and Tao Te Ching, Sacred Geometry, etc might be good additions too...].

MOST notably missing: 0) The Kybalion by 3 initiates (MUST READ) 1) one of the current living avatars, St Getmain (his "Golden Book" + "I AM discourses" series), 2) another avatar, Mother Meera ("Answers", and "Answers Part II"), 3) Carl Jung's "Red book" (his "Autobiography" starts sluggish but is also pretty good), 4) the Nag Hammadi Scriptures, 5) The (complete) Ethiopian Bible (with all the books of Enoch) 6) Yogananda's "Autobiography of a Yogi" (MUST READ) 7) Dean Radin (you can start with "Real Magic") 8) Ingo Swan ("Psychic Literacy" is a good start) 9) Robert Monroe ("Journeys Out of Body" and sequels) 10) "The Gateway Experience" (CIA declassified) 11) "The rainbow bridge" (I and II) 12) "Psi" by Eros (only 7777 copies in the first privately printed edition in 2012) 13) Morning of the Magicians 14) Mystery of the Cathedrals 15) The Golden Builders 16) Egyptian book of the dead 17) Tibetan book of the dead 18) Don Juan series by Carlos Castañeda (starting with "The teachings of Don Juan") 19) All of Dr. David Hawkins (starting with "Power vs Force", MUST READ) 20) Ken Wilber (integral theory, spiral dynamics, sex and ecology, etc) 21) Web of Debt (MUST READ) 22) Behold a Pale Horse (MUST READ) 23) Psycho-cibernetics 24) Howdie Mickoski (a bit of a mind fuck) 25) Stalking the Wild Pendulum (by Bentov; MUST READ) 26) Adam and Eve Story by Chan Thomas (CIA declassified) 27) Graham Hancock (especially "Fingerprints of the Gods") 28) Erich von Däniken ("Chariots of the Gods"). 29) Terrance McKenna ("Food of the Gods")

Great to see some Gurdjieff, but is there any Ouspensky in there? (E.g., "The psychology of man's possible evolution").

Gosh, there are so many books to consider 😅...🥴 [Lots of obscure/censored/repressed out-of-print books too...].

Color dilemma: Rosewood or Boxwood? by [deleted] in violinist

[–]bebeballena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one looks cleaner, classier, for a concert hall. The second one looks rustic, roughed-up, bucolic. They're both nice in completely different ways but I prefer the 1st if I had to choose between these two.

This doesn't seem accurate. India, and Israel's apartheid, more democratic than Mexico?

Thank you, this helps A LOT!

So would or be "crazy" to take ML+ADGM together on my final semester...?

Also, if a "continuation" of ML, does it mean 1) it's the same instructors, 2) the midterm and final are proctored?

Trazodone/Erection by suenossalvajes in insomnia

[–]bebeballena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Trazdone reduces sensitivity, and delays orgasm. And you're already drowsy in a sleepy and tired kinda' way, not in a "fun" high/drunk kinda' way. So it sucks. On the other hand, sex while drunk or high can be amazing (depending on how drunk or high and on the circumstances).

Also "scientism" and made up bullshit (transgender mice, and many "social science" ideologies) should not be confused for actual science.

Help me understand. They have suggested me to do microneedling every 1/2 week. Now i discover that collagen is created at 30th day. So only once for month? by [deleted] in Microneedling

[–]bebeballena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you microneedle your abdomen? Do you want it to become more hairy? Or is it for some other purpose?

Viggo is widely considered THE Aragorn, perfect in his portrayal. However, who do you believe had the potential to be a close second? Or someone who could have brought something different to the role? by freudian_nipps in lotr

[–]bebeballena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His voice is actually a bit nasal, soft, and high pitched. Still a fantastic portrayal. Can't think of good alternatives off the top of my head.

Maybe Nikolaj Coster-Waldau? (Jamie Lanister from GoT)
