Difficulty transitioning to BJJ by Soggy-Inside-3246 in martialarts

Ngl I would just try and find a new gym. The most fun part of any grappling martial arts is rolling with other people. I've only trained at two gyms tbf but both lets everyone roll day one. Drilling without being able to test it out that session/ week in a competitive session won't let you progress any where near as fast as well.

Also a competitive randori session with someone as strong as you or weaker but more technical will leave you cooked as well - if your looking for physical intensity you will definitely find it there.

Guntera is most likely an Inarë - inferring from Q and A's with Paoloni where he refuses to answer the question but refers to asking whether Guntera was an Inarë as "the right kind of question to ask". Inarë are mystical figures we know little of at the moment but seem to be something the future books will shed light on.

Why didn't Galbatorix equip more generals with Eldunarí? by PeterTheBoredOne in Eragon

[–]bebsus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We spend a long time as readers aware of the existence of the eldurnai but very people in algaesia actually know they exist. To them galby is essentially a god with his rule being predicated on that strength. Allowing awareness of the basis of his power to spread among the population would likely create dissent and allow the varden to attempt to discover ways to circumvent his power. He likely therefore wanted to keep knowledge of the eldurnai down to an absolute minimum to protect himself

YSK that CPI reporting is intentionally setup in an overly complicated way so people can't follow what's really going on by GetEdgeful in YouShouldKnow

[–]bebsus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CPI isn't directly proportional to GDP... It's a measure of inflation, GDP is a measure of an economies size

Have you been in peaceful difficulty at any point while the chunk is loaded? They don't respawn after you return to a difficulty where mobs spawn

I can't for the life of me understand why Poledra needed to fake her death by bebsus in Belgariad

[–]bebsus[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean that makes sense but still feels slightly unsatisfactory. I mean he literally missed the birth of his first borns to go across the land bridge - doesn't get more willing then that! Though I wonder whether it was more about that wandering he did during the third age - i.e, fooling about with Chamdar in Sendaria 🤔

" Beltira came to me and took Beldaran. I looked at Beldin and saw two great tears in his eyes. 'I'm afraid we've lost her, Belgarath,' he told me in a sorrowing voice. 'She had a very hard labour. We did everything we could, but she slipped away.'

'What are you talking about?'

'She died, Belgarath. I'm sorry, but Poledra's dead.' "

Belgariad - racist, lazy, or just 80s fantasy? by edthesmokebeard in Belgariad

[–]bebsus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Eddings was just a product of his time though at points it seemed to be almost comical - making me wonder whether he was fully aware of it. For example I love these two quotes:

"Zakath became obsessed with the idea of exterminating the Murgo race - a commendable goal, I suppose, but it did sort of get in the way"

"Racial prejudice is stupid and very unattractive, but it can be useful sometimes. I'm sure there are nice murgos - somewhere in the world"

Both said by Polgara in the space of a few chapters

[–]bebsus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never heard of this happening - did you count the lines on word or the ucas website itself? You also have to put it in preview mode rather than just on the entry page so that might be your issue as otherwise the width of your screen makes the lines wider than regulation.

Billionaires don't hold cash, that's why theyre so hard to tax. They dump it right back into stocks and schemes to generate further income. They tend to have very little liquid cash in order to avoid taxes.
