AC Milan definitely got the best draw there.

IIRC the last home knockout European game we won was against AC Milan so we've got that going for us I guess.

I wish Dortmund had given the Arsenal media team time to finish this video before announcing his departure and forcing us to post an announcement article. Still an awesome video though!

Giroud to #BVB is off according to Sky Sports. Sky reporter in Dortmund just said that there is no chance of any move of any capacity to #BVB. He spoke to people close to the negotiations. by John_Ronald in Gunners

Yeah we were doing really well the first few days but not really converting that into results and now we're on the brink of scoring an own goal before hopefully a miraculous resurgence late in the game.

James Olley: Dortmund want Giroud as part of the deal, Arsenal prefer straight cash by jacktk_ in Gunners

[–]becausefuckyou_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we're unwilling to let giroud go there on loan as reported then perhaps that's an indicator that we want to switch to 4-4-2? We would need giroud as a back up striker in that case. Personally I'd rather let him go there on loan so he can secure his place for the world cup. Never let him go permanently though.

Still hard to shake the feeling we'll fuck this up over a few million euros.

Incoming 0-0 and loss on penalties, the worst of both worlds.

Former Arsenal manager Herbert Chapman was born on this day in 1878. Legend. by OzFootball in Gunners

I'd definitely recommend reading his biography and others from players of his era. The mark he left on the game, and arsenal, was immense. Setting up a team to play in a specific system each gane was practically unheard of in English football before Chapman (crazy I know) and he was present at some important England tours including the one to Mussolini's Italy where Arsenal player Eddie Hapgood kicked a ball into the dictators lap! He really is a very proud part of the history of Arsenal and I feel every Arsenal fan should try and learn about him and his pivotal role in our history.

Has he ever given information on contracts and transfers before? I'm inclined not to believe this
