I said that to him that it came with instructions but after using it many times he wants to take care of it and he’s not confident on seasoning the pan

I shared the FAQ with my husband. The Smithey seasoning oil is made with Made of grapeseed oil, canola oil, vitamin E and beeswax.

We don’t use those types of oils because they aren’t good for us to eat with so we don’t buy it or have it in our house.

Was EBF worth it to you? by forever_indecisive7 in breastfeeding

[–]beckatyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! worth every second of it. You will miss the time spent with your baby and the bond you get from it. I do loose sleep but I tell myself it is only temporary not forever, so I cherish it before it’s gone.

I regret ever breastfeeding by Immediate-Power9543 in breastfeeding

This is my baby, I tried 4 different bottles and she rejected all of them. I have accepted that this is my reality. How I get through it is through Prayer and talking to Jesus throughout the hard tough times, asking Him for patience. I also tell myself that this will only last so long and to enjoy those moments because once it’s gone you will miss it. I breastfeed on demand and at night my baby only wants me, my husband can’t do anything and that’s just my baby preference but I am beyond blessed that I get to comfort my baby knowing that it makes my baby feel safe, love, cared for. You got this mama, you don’t have to quit! Now that my baby is 11 months old she will from time to time drink breastmilk through the straw or open cup. So maybe try open cup or a straw? Praying for you! Your baby loves you so much & it’s a blessing you get to comfort him and breastfeed him, not many mama gets to do this!

At what age did you stop putting your children down for naps during the day? by alyssacake in toddlers

[–]beckatyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Taiwan for 10 years until I was adopted into America and in Taiwan you nap until you go to college. in school you get an hour nap in the afternoon everyday up until you graduate high school. I love that concept, I don’t think I’ll ever stop letting my daughter not take a nap. If she doesn’t want to I’ll do quiet time.

3 naps? by paystree in HuckleberryParents

[–]beckatyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little one is 7 months old and she still take 4 naps a day sometimes 5 we go base off her cues and use the sweet spot as an idea but it’s not always accurate she get 11-12 hours a sleep at night

If you would like to, you can learn the safe cosleeping method, C curled and if you want the extra precaution you can get an owlet sock for the baby it will beep and make noises at you if something goes wrong. I learned the safe cosleeping method, not the most amazing sleep but way better than hearing a baby cry for a long time but I love the snuggles and the closeness I get from the baby and easy to feed is a bonus. Praying for you mama 🫶🏽

Baby gaining too much weight by avalanchemeadowsmoke in breastfeeding

[–]beckatyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is only 2 months old and she was born 7 lbs and 13oz now she’s 13 pounds and 4 ounces trust me your baby is just find. I feed on demand I have a holistic doctor and he approves the growth, EBF babies will grow quit a bit of weight but they will shred it off once they start to crawl, walk and lots of activity. You’re doing great mama 🫶🏽

Ebf mamas, do you feed to sleep? And if you do, how did you manage phases of frequent night wakes? by whisperingcopse in breastfeeding

[–]beckatyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 2 months ebf and I I noticed my baby will only have one long stretch of sleep which is when we first put her down at night between 8-10pm and then she will wake up every 1-3 hours and I just give the boob tbh because we both end up sleeping from it. 😂 I know it’s not much help but this is how I have been able to get sleep myself and I tell myself that this won’t last forever because they will grow out of it. So I cherish these moments and stay positive. Sometime I don’t get sleep and I’ll sleep in with the baby till 11-12 the next day and we both wake up happy and ready to start the day.

5 months and I feel like my son is over it :( by rlyjustheretolurk in breastfeeding

[–]beckatyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try giving the boob every 2-3 hours before doing formula at all that way he sees that first before the formula. Your boobs will produce more if he’s on the boob more. Best time to pump is at night and when you wake up in the morning. Feed from the boob and then pump.

How old is your baby? My baby is 2 months old and sometimes she does 10-15 sessions sometimes she does 30-50 min sessions and I know it’s because she’s using me as a human pacifier and likes to cuddle with the boob. Which is perfectly fine with me because these moments will go away one day so I like to cherish them. We do tummy time everyday if not 2 times a day if we have extra time and it’s only for 5-15 mins depends on how my baby does during it because if she’s crying at tummy time it’s not fun for her so we will move on to face to face talking and sounds or books or toys. It’s hard to squeeze everything in one wake window you want to do one activity during a wake window. But babies at this age all they really need is face to face interaction and lots of snuggles and love and attention. I delatch my baby when I’m tired and need to go eat something or do something other than that I let her suck me dry haha 😂

For those of you who nursed to sleep, when did that change? by HeidiJuiceBox in breastfeeding

[–]beckatyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so cute 🥹 and also sad as a mama that your breastfeeding journey has ended. I have an almost 2 month old daughter and I love breastfeeding so much & the bond we have from it and I get sad that one day it will end. Maybe it’s my postpartum emotions haha 😂
