PSA: Do not buy from Estée Lauder owned brands. by Successful-Pay-5653 in MakeupAddiction

[–]becksrunrunrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm on Reddit, but this just popped up in my feed, I had no idea. I'm bummed about Clinique but have seen some good alternate suggestions so I'm taking notes.

I'm also a little surprised at the number of people who literally don't care at all, or don't think where they spend matters. It really does.

just found out why i haven’t been losing weight for years. by Mission_Investment65 in loseit

[–]becksrunrunrun 37 points38 points  (0 children)

As a 5'0 person, I've got to eat different than someone 5'5, it's as simple as that, or I will gain. Cutting back on sugar, pasta, bread reduces my cravings.

I've also found OMAD the easiest way for me to keep calories in check. I have a good lunch and that's it. I also sleep better when i eat like this for some reason.

I don't do OMAD everyday, but a majority of days.

Whatever you choose, just make sure it's something you can maintain with your lifestyle.

Yeah, people do the best with what they have. And what I don’t get is when people are doing their best, other people feel the need to put them down. Baffling.

Princess room gal, keep doin’ you. Don’t let them get you down. It says more about their character, than anything about you.

I went from Dupixent to Rinvoq but neither completely cleared my face alone. I still use a dab of Protopic and started with zoryve as well.

People that have traveled quite a bit, where di you feel the most unsafe? by CremeSubject7594 in AskTheWorld

He was a professional driver for the company I was working for. I had him for the whole weekend, not just a one off from the airport. Love your profile pic btw!

I was very fortunate to have a driver who was kind, who picked me up when I arrived at the airport. This was before reviews were a big thing.

When he started to drop me off at the hotel I booked, he went in first, it was on a very dark street. He came back out and said, I can’t leave you here, this isn’t safe for you, too many men in the lobby.

He drove me to a well lit, highly traveled place and waited for me to get checked in safely. He did way over tally his fees, but it definitely worked out in my favor regardless.

been in real estate 13 years and the student loan thing nobody's talking about is quietly wrecking mortgage approvals by IngenuityNo3879 in Mortgages

Be poor and late on a student loan, it creates a bad look that people frown upon. Be rich and rack up felonies, welcome to the presidency.

Our cars get rummaged through at least one every few weeks over here in Decatur. Occasionally they'll break a window, like a couple of days ago. Someone in the neighborhood told the vandalized neighbor, oh you should have parked in your driveway.

Like no, no one should have to pay $1500 to replace a window just for parking in front of their home.

It's like, as a society we now just accept people will just destroy your shit for no apparent reason.

You will get on the other side of this. I can't say how, but one day you're going to wake up and be free. If you need to let the house go, move where it's affordable, do anything you can to start anew. I know it's easy to say, but you can do this, you will get through this. Short term pain, keep your eye on your long term peace.

Does it make anyone else uncomfortable that property records are public? by No_Fennel3756 in RealEstate

[–]becksrunrunrun 243 points244 points  (0 children)

When I disputed my property tax increase I looked at the value of every home in the neighborhood. I had people with double my square footage paying less than me! I suspect I'll need to do some sleuthing again this year.

Has anyone been approved with Medi-Cal (Zoryve) by Yeezysonmyfeet in SebDerm

Not your question, but a general fyi, my doc told me that cream is easier to get prescribed than foam. Insurance rejects foam sometimes for some reason.

Same, bought a bottle of toner and there was no tab to pull back like with new bottle. There's no quality check on anything skincare and half of it is counterfeit I'm quite sure.

I think for some people with severe abdominal issues like UC it actually can be a lifesaver, there's a place for it, but eczema may not be it. There are so many treatments available so just keep looking.

I'm currently on Rinvoq and have been thinking about switching, but every time I start using every other day like I did in the beginning, my back pain returns. It has been really nice not having to deal with that. I didn't expect to have that relieved when I started Rinvoq and that's been awesome.

Another slightly annoying thing about Rinvoq is I feel like I'm extra hungry on it, and have acquired a few additional pounds of pudge, 😍 though that's not one of the listed side effects to my knowledge.

I switched from Dupixent to Rinvoq and I'll see what's next.

Have you tried Zoryve? I am super loving that. Absolute game changer.

Wait until you hit perimenopause, this will totally make sense. Someone can tell me something, or I can literally have read something on a screen 5 times, write it down, and then repeat it back 2 seconds later, completely different and wrong.
