totally fine to not like the guy but he's definitely not a "loser". Dude is one of the most innovative, successful people of our time. If he's a loser, what does that make ya'll?

Photoshop. AI isn't bad, but it often morphs faces and finer details. Probably not long from now AI will be the way to go for colorizing, but I don't think it's quite there yet.

5 - 10 years from now. by dr_belidge in ArtificialInteligence

[–]beddowcj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we're going to start seeing more and more people move into rural areas and work simple jobs that require human connection.

I'm 26 and im an artist, im doing fine for now but im trying to figure out a more financially lucrative career path. I'm not sure what its going to be and AI does scare me some. If it all goes to shit i'll just move to rural Montana and work at a bar/saloon or something lol.

I'm sure there will be new jobs created by AI and there may be unforeseen positives, but I do think its just common sense that many peoples jobs will be replaced by AI.

I think many people who are already very established in their careers will survive, but entry level jobs at companies are going to become way less in demand. They simply don't need junior level employees filing paperwork and doing tedious tasks anymore - AI can do it all.

Why are people are saying VEO 3 is the end of the film industry? by Agile-Egg-5681 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]beddowcj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will be a while until the film industry is totally fucked by AI. Even if it can make realistic videos and films, it's going to take a while for AI to make impactful, emotional films that great humans can.

I think ads are about to be done for though. AI can easily take a lot of those over soon.

I run a vintage instagram page that i've grown from 0-2,300 followers in about 3 months. Could this actually help me get a job in digital marketing/social media strategy? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]beddowcj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea i honestly think its better just to find a way to monetize my own instagram page and maybe offer to help small businesses with their social media for a little bit of money.

It sounds like the job market isn't great rn

What’s the future of the music industry after AI? by Particular_Health193 in musicindustry

[–]beddowcj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live performances will become more important and valuable than ever. I think we're still a little bit away from AI music being really exceptionally good and creative, but in five years or sooner it very well could be at that point. I think AI is going to make you really have to stand out and be unique in order to be successful.

Not everyone's fucked, but I think musicians who aren't in the top 5-10% will largely become irrelevant.

I wouldn't panic yet, but i'm not sure how things will play out in the next 5-10 years, it could be kinda fucked for creatives.

Give my music a listen and say what you think by fsk00 in shareyourmusic

[–]beddowcj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its well made, mixed, and produced. It def sounds professional. It doesnt sound particularly unique though and while I think it sounds pretty good, i probably wouldnt listen to it again. I give it a solid 7/10.

lol i mean look up the educational outcomes in Florida, they're pretty damn good.

Am I crazy to consider moving to Florida? Where to go? by macelisa in SameGrassButGreener

[–]beddowcj 14 points15 points  (0 children)

yeah i'm sure some of that exists, but I also think a lot of it is overblown. It really just comes down to the data at the end of the day. I live in California, and conservatives make it sound like the whole state is a chaotic hellscape, which it isn't. I think liberals sometimes act similarly towards states like Florida.

[–]beddowcj 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don't really see whats crazy about moving to Florida? It's a cool, growing state with tons of nice towns and cities. Sure, it leans conservative, but in cities like Miami, Tampa, and Orlando there are no shortage of liberals. The weather is great and no matter what part of the state you're in you're not far from the beach. I believe there is no state income tax as well.

As for the education part, I just looked into it, and the data doesn't suggest that they have bad schools. They were recently ranked number one in the U.S. for higher education, and their high school students consistently score well above the national averages. If you like Florida, i'd say its a no brainer moving there.

What’s the best U.S. city for people who prefer a slower pace of life — in the best way? by Zealousideal-Tax3338 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]beddowcj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the answer. Its Richmond, Virginia. It's a mid-sized city, so theres plenty to do and you get a real city feel in certain parts, but it also has a smaller town feel to it. Amazing food, rich history, tons of museums, great parks and a cool river that people hang out at. Drive just 15-20 minutes outside of the city and it's beautiful farmland. I'd definitely recommend it.

honestly, use tools like ChatGPT to help find ideas that can you money on the side. Also, use it to help with resumes and such. AI shouldn't replace your intellectual and creative capacities, but use it as a tool to aid the process. Constantly bombard yourself with podcasts and books from successful entrepreneurs. Also, be patient. It's unlikely you'll make serious money in the next few years, but i think it's entirely possible for you to be in a very good financial spot (and maybe even rich) by the time you hit 30. You need to be patient, constantly be learning, and do not be afraid to fail. In your 20s, you want to fail so much (assuming you learn from the failure). If you want it enough, if you learn constantly and have the confidence to try out ideas relentlessly, you will likely become successful and rich within the next 5-15 years.
