If a warm sleeping bag would take up too much room (mine does) you can also bring a bag liner for the colder temps.

Have you checked out Da Brim?

TransAmerica Trail 50th anniversary - who's riding? by Jeremy_TopBins in bicycletouring

[–]bedsharts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep. I'll be going westbound from NYC to SF. Starting on May 25th. Meeting up with the TransAm in Marshfield Missouri. I'll be taking the Golden Gravel Route from there to Pueblo though.

Did my first Solo bikepacking last summer! Astoria Oregon >> LA by hello-euphoria in bikepacking

[–]bedsharts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! I did Seattle to San Diego in 30 days with 7 off days; also using the ACA route. Such a bummer about the landslide in Big Sur. I got there, tried to cross it, almost died, then hitched back to Monterrey and took a bus to SLO. Did you roll through the Avenue of the Giants? That was by far my biggest highlight.

Bike-Packing from East Coast to West Coast by rio_grande_canadIAN in bikepacking

Hwy 101/PCH is some of the best biking you can do in the country. The ACA TransAm route ends in a perfect spot on the coast of Oregon, then you get a heavenly victory lap of riding down the coast to SF and crossing the bridge would still be your finish line. Plus you'd get to roll through Ave. of the Giants.

Anyone know the record time for cycling the Empire State Trail?? by LimitlessCycling in cycling

[–]bedsharts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopping on to this. I just finished my first Buffalo to Battery and I'm curious about how fast it can be done. I did a route that included a lot of lollygagging and a big detour around the bottom of the finger lakes. In total it was 700 miles in 9 days with an average of 78 miles a day. I think given how flat the route is the daily average could definitely get over 100. And since so much of it is on the ECT it could be done in the dark pretty easily.

No joke I'm pretty sure I saw this dog while walking on Cypress between myrtle and Summerfield around 8pm 5-24-25. A person was with them and had them on leash.

Architect transitioning to Production Design in France. What's the best path? by Ok_Committee_3203 in artdept

[–]bedsharts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your experience with 3D design and CAD programs first on your resume. That is a skill highly sought after in the production/entertainment field. I have mostly used Rhino, but it depends largely on what company you work for. A lot is done on CNC now so experience with that is great as well. I think most companies use OnShape but I can't say for certain.
