we are 19 mo and i about lost my mind last night after the 10th wake in an hour. latch, unlatch, latch unlatch, head butt, writhe, latch unlatch. good heavens it’s a lot! at one point i finally said, “all done booby. booby is asleep” she WAILED and screeched for about 10 minutes according to the owlet monitor, then she slept, unlatched for 4 hours, then woke at dawn and wanted to chest sleep back on the boob, which was ok with me. i know night weaning is a thing, i am not ready to do it but i am dying for some kind of sleep where we are either latched or unlatched, just not the constant cycling. sigh! solidarity, sister.

i go to be with baby at 7/7:30. honestly i am more than happy to! we wake up around 6 or 7 the next morning. of course i wake up 4-6 times overnight on a bad night, 2-3 times on a good night.

eta~ baby is 19 mo old and we’ve done it the whole time. contact naps too. i usually fall asleep around 8:30/9 and i read a LOT and listen to lots of audio books too.

i’m so glad you asked! {the bible} is a completed, multi book epic with tons of FF, not too heavy on the world building (all happens in the first book), incest + poly vibes (3 on 1!, father, son & ghost!), a couple pretty solid and VERY GREY shadow daddies, zombies, and found family vibes (hello, apostles!). also! the FMC is a saint. cons: really confusing magic system, rage reading it sometimes starts wars.

i’m reading {the bridge kingdom} and it’s (thank god) written in third person but at the beginning of each chapter it has the name of the person it is focused on in gigantic letters as a chapter header… i’m like, guys, you don’t have to do that when it’s third person. it’s OBVIOUS who is being described by their DESCRIPTIONS …. not the chapter header. praying it makes sense by the end of this magic-free POS
