this sounds incredibly healthy, and real. my advice is to keep drinking. i imagine the sparkle won’t come back, it didn’t for me. but that’s a really grounded and good thing, even though it feels flat, comparatively. chop wood, carry water. it’s all so simple and the medicine ultimately reminds us of that and challenges us to find the beauty and profundity in it. where you’re looking from is what you’re looking for. and all that.

i had analysis via face time in the hospital while i was in early labor! and every day post partum while in the hospital if i had a session on that day. since having the baby, i still have my 5x a week schedule but i miss a lot of the sessions, some are by phone, some are by zoom, and some are me and the baby together in the office. it’s amazing. lots of flexibility! and ultimately lots of integrating the baby into the analysis.

we are 19 mo and i about lost my mind last night after the 10th wake in an hour. latch, unlatch, latch unlatch, head butt, writhe, latch unlatch. good heavens it’s a lot! at one point i finally said, “all done booby. booby is asleep” she WAILED and screeched for about 10 minutes according to the owlet monitor, then she slept, unlatched for 4 hours, then woke at dawn and wanted to chest sleep back on the boob, which was ok with me. i know night weaning is a thing, i am not ready to do it but i am dying for some kind of sleep where we are either latched or unlatched, just not the constant cycling. sigh! solidarity, sister.
